Higher Quality Printing than Vistaprint

So, I need to print out some fold-over, mailable style cards (think christmas cards) in bulk with custom printing. I looked at vistaprint, and they basically have what I want, but their paper isn't as high quality as I'd like. Can anyone recommend a company that's basically the next step up in price and quality?

Are you near a university/college? A lot of them have very capable graphic/print shops.
If they don't have what you want, I know for a fact these shops get spammed to hell with magazines advertising tons of print shops that do some pretty incredible stuff, ask if you can have a look through some of those.
I'm not sure if they'll have what you want, but there is also PrintPelican you could check out. I'm not sure how their quality compares to vistaprint, but I've seen some magazines printed by Pelican and they were good quality, and I used VistaPrint for my mom's business cards and they were also of decent quality.
