I'll arrive in San Francisco on Aug. 17th and will visit a friend there. Then i'll rent a car and take the route north to seattle, maybe with one or two stops on the way. I will attend PAXDev first, so the spot is theoretically available from Aug. 23 on.
The place is roundabout 1.7 miles from the convention centre.

Howdy howdy. I just made an account in hopes of finding some bodies to fill some space. I got a double twin bed hotel room under the thoughts that I would have 2 friends coming with me, but both backed down. I'm hoping to get at least 1 other person to share a room with me in order to cut down the cost. It's not the fanciest hotel in the world but it has a roof, a shower and wifi. I don't drink or smoke but I don't care if you do. This is my first PAX so I really have no idea what I'm doing. Allright, you see that low price up there? There's a caveat that comes with that rate. That's an employee rate I received because I work for the Starwood Hotels and Resorts call center in California. That means that I'll need to be present with an authorization letter to check in, and as I'm coming in on the West Coast Train Trip, I'm not going to be in Seattle until 8:45 at night on Thursday, and, of course, it'll take some time to get from the train station to the hotel. I'd prefer to room with somebody else who'll be on the train; otherwise, you'll have to wait for me to arrive.
Also, again since this is an employee rate, what goes on in that room reflects on me. That means it's a chilling and sleeping room, not a party room, and you'll need to follow the hotel's rules. Just be cool, okay?
Final caveat: There is one bed in the room. It's mine. Anyone else staying will need to either sleep on the floor or arrange for a rollaway bed; I'm not sure how much this particular hotel charges off the top of my head, but it's usually $10 or $20 a night for one, and that cost is on you. I'll be happy to ask for a change to a 2-bed room on check in, but given the status of the hotel for the convention, I doubt that request will be granted; after all, they were already sold out of 2-bed rooms when I made the reservation.

Howdy howdy. I just made an account in hopes of finding some bodies to fill some space. I got a double twin bed hotel room under the thoughts that I would have 2 friends coming with me, but both backed down. I'm hoping to get at least 1 other person to share a room with me in order to cut down the cost. It's not the fanciest hotel in the world but it has a roof, a shower and wifi. I don't drink or smoke but I don't care if you do. This is my first PAX so I really have no idea what I'm doing. The hotel is a short about an 8 minute walk from the convention center (so says Google Maps). Check the booking.com page for the hotel room above.

Allright, you see that low price up there? There's a caveat that comes with that rate. That's an employee rate I received because I work for the Starwood Hotels and Resorts call center in California. That means that I'll need to be present with an authorization letter to check in, and as I'm coming in on the West Coast Train Trip, I'm not going to be in Seattle until 8:45 at night on Thursday, and, of course, it'll take some time to get from the train station to the hotel. I'd prefer to room with somebody else who'll be on the train; otherwise, you'll have to wait for me to arrive.
Also, again since this is an employee rate, what goes on in that room reflects on me. That means it's a chilling and sleeping room, not a party room, and you'll need to follow the hotel's rules. Just be cool, okay?
Final caveat: There is one bed in the room. It's mine. Anyone else staying will need to either sleep on the floor or arrange for a rollaway bed; I'm not sure how much this particular hotel charges off the top of my head, but it's usually $10 or $20 a night for one, and that cost is on you. I'll be happy to ask for a change to a 2-bed room on check in, but given the status of the hotel for the convention, I doubt that request will be granted; after all, they were already sold out of 2-bed rooms when I made the reservation.
