What would make my forum avatar not show?

in Tube's Circus Of Bug Reports and User Issues
So I uploaded an avatar but cannot get it to show and cannot figure out why. It is 100x100 and under 64k and it shows in my user panel but never in any posts. Any ideas?

    You set a profile picture instead of an avtar. Avatars are set using the "edit avatar" option in the user panel, and are limited to 64x64 pixels.
