I propose (A thread about Political threads)

A forum dedicated to Politics. I go to SE++ and I get 100,000 Political threads. And I for one (as I am sure many others) am sick of it. I say we have a forum for this stuff or any thread that goes off to Politicking land should me moved to EE.

Um that role was revoked a bit ago. SE++ is now a bastion for EVERYTHING, except in a humorous way.

So if you hate those threads, just derail them.

There are very few political threads in SE. Just like religios threads, occasionally there will be a good one in SE.

If you don't like it, don't read it, or attempt to be funny by derailing it.

Resurecting rule 8 just means we end up with all the shit and no decent discussions in SE

I only proposed this because ever political thread breaks down into name calling like “you’re a bigot” or “you’re a Fucktard” and no real discussion. I guess it is my whole frustration that no one wants to debate their position but would rather call people who disagree with them names. Even the good “debaters” in SE++ do this. It kind of shows that they do not believe in their position enough to debate it but resort to name calling if someone calls them on their argument. Hence why I stopped posting in those threads.

I don't think I've ever seen an SE++ thread that didn't end with "you're a bigot" or "you're a fucktard".
