Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
30 Rock was garbage though. I am beginning to think their format is love/hate with no room for middle ground. Every joke was just so heavy handed.
Community and Parks and Rec were both pretty good. I loved Abed's line about delivering a baby. "You all were just in the background somewhere." or something like that.

I just wanted to pick up where the last thread left off and state for the record that Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was poop that came out of a butt. A butt that belonged to a person who ate too much cheap Mexican food.
And the bit with the Dundie has been there since the beginning but it's not like they pre-planned it or whatever, they just refilmed it for that episode as a callback to the credits, which I thought was really cool. That bit in the credits always stands out to me because you can see Michael with his old hairstyle from the first season when he was still kinda David Brent-ish.
seeing how successful the voice was, i expect it to air 5 days a week in the near future, taking up 1 to 2 hours a night and replacing most sitcoms, with a constantly revolving cast of judges, till 2 years down the road when justin bieber is a judge

and the as seen on tv section of bed bath and beyond really is the best. though the marshmallow launcher really doesn't hold as many marshmallows as andy shot at ben
Hey, so I watched all of the original office yesterday -not that hard since there's not that much of it, as is the british way- and I am certainly interested in getting into the american verson. But I've heard that it starts off almost identical to the original without the humour, and comes into its own later. All I want to know is how long it takes. I'll probably watch the earlier episodes anyway, But I'd much prefer to know when it gets good.

I think the first episode of the american version cribs very heavily from the first episode of the original and falls pretty flat. I enjoyed the first season, but I remember that initial episode being kind of painful to watch.
I think the first episode is almost a shot for shot remake? I dunno I've never seen the u.k. version
But it's popular belief that the second season is where it starts to get good, and the third season is where, for me, it really hits it's stride. Gay Witch Hunt was an amazing season opener.
The first season of the Office has some great moments though, I wouldn't skip it. It's also interesting to see where they started and what they wanted to change.
When I wanted to get people interested in the US Office I showed them episodes from Season 2 (I think I started with Office Olympics, since it's less awkward than the Dundies). The last two episodes of Season 1 are worth watching (Basketball, and the one with Amy Adams), but they're not so good for jumping into the show.

Has that... been in the opening credits since the beginning of the show?

this post could be talking about either the american office or Parks & Rec
