I remember when I thought Family guy was pretty funny. Then I grew up and the show lost most of it's magic.

I still think the whole "China, I have something you want... but it'll cost ya. That's right all the tea." bit is the funniest thing they ever have or ever will do.

Family Guy's first two seasons (especially season 2) were pretty solid.

It was still mainly absurd comedy with a lot of cutaway gags, but it was executed far better and a lot more effort was put into it.

Working on a show doesn't mean you're gonna create something like it when you make your own.

Like I mentioned earlier, Seth worked on Johnny Bravo.

One of the guys who created Avatar worked on Zim.

    parallels can still be drawn

the musical numbers from Family Guy are mostly Dan's work, for example

I'm told this show's big on the musical numbers

One of the most televised people ever, somehow.

Although the talk show is kind of cool. It reminds me of Space Ghost Coast to Coast.

Yeah, see, I'd call out the parts of Family Guy I liked as influences. The quick cuts, the musical numbers...

Season 3 Episode 4 is up on instant queue. Stacy continues to be my favorite character in most episodes she's in.

Also, watching a few older ones with my daughter, and while everyone talks about which one is their favorite episode, I think my least favorite episode is the Bigfoot one. The dummies that they use just aren't what I expect out of Phineas and Ferb, and I never really ended up liking the Flynn grandparents, Grandpa's need to burst into song notwithstanding.

Ferb's grandparents are better than Phineas's. That's obvious.

I think my favorite character might be Isabella (and the Fireside Girls). She's just a little bit crazy and her troop is perfectly alright spending every day helping her try and win Phineas's heart. It's cute without being obnoxious.
