Reading the Weekend Web archive is one of the few things I can say changed me as a person. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. If you're like me and feeling disturbed is the only way you feel alive, I recommend you look through them. I think my favorite for the sheer lolwtf was the forum for people who honestly believe they are vampires (this was before Twilight).

I don't specifically remember that one right now, but that's an understandable (if gross) sexual desire. The other weird sexual stuff is less understandable, but there must be some origin for it that we have not experienced and so can't empathize with. But what would cause someone to reason to the conclusion that they are a real vampire? That's why I find it to be one of the strangest that have been featured.

Oh certainly. I'm more likely to find something good and not be upset browsing DA with the mature filter on than browsing ponibooru. But that doesn't make some people's profiles any less upsetting.

[EDIT] I feel like clarifying that Deviant Art is not made up entirely of sociopaths who create work designed to ruin your lives and steal your innocence.

There is alot of really good stuff on Deviant Art and tons of very talented artists. If you haven't been there before and you're at all interested in looking at artwork then you should check it out. Me and my friend are budding illustrators and that's why we used to hang around there. It's a great website.

Just ... stay away from the four letter fetish subjects.
