Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
So I'm taking American History II and Intro to Politics this summer, both first summer term, which means they will be 5 week courses. I'm moderately concerned about this. Mostly because neither class is for the degree I'm working on right now, but for a secondary degree which will better aid me at pursuing a bachelor's in my primary program.
Why don't they allow calculators on the GRE? This is going to blow. Numbers and I don't get along.
Not 100% but I think they just don't allow outside calculators and they provide you with one.
no, they don't
they will starting with the revised GRE later this year, though
Well, I guess if I bomb the quantitative part, I can just retake it in August, then.
I keep telling myself to calm down, it's multiple choice and high-school level, anyway. Really glad after all that I took those remedial math classes at community college that I wound up not needing for my degree. I have been sucking at the practice problems, though. D:
It's not the complex bits that are hard, it's the basic arithmetic I screw up. As long as I get close enough to the correct answer, though, I guess I can pick it out of the choices.
At least I know I can kick the verbal section's ass.
So apparently I pulled a C- in a class that I thought I was going to fail.
Not even going to question how I pulled that off, out of fear that an extended analysis might cause it to plummet another few points.
I somehow ended up with an A in my physical chemistry course despite constantly performing at the average all semester and feeling completely awful about my performance on the final
I was going to go ask to see my final to find out what on earth I did right but I was afraid I'd go in and they'd realize their mistake

Apparently I used to live pretty close to you because I know exactly what parody video you're talking about.
And yes, everything in that video is true.

I don't really know what AP tests are. They're like exams that count towards college credit or such, right?
Probably won't have time to nap between writing my cheat sheet and going to my Radiation and Optics final

Hi5.
Best two classes I took in all of high school.
PS, check your PMs.
I'm looking for PAX Badges! Please PM me if you have a Four Day, or any Single Day Badges to spare!
I took a midterm today. Not worried about it. It's weird reading about people taking finals.
Good thing I never really planned on graduate school
