Morale is so easy to lose, there. Something to make sure people are aware of going into it.

Honestly, I think the Human death spiral goes back to Starbuck's decision on... was it Detente? When she decided to choose the "Activate a ton of stuff" option. It seemed like the best idea at the time, cutting the Cylon fleet in half, but all it did was allow us to advance the Pursuit track and freeze it at the penultimate step. That allowed us to maintain the incredible Raider pressure we've had for the second half of the game.

I don't think you've had a single turn since that crisis without any Cylons on the main board.

    Also, in case anyone was curious;
    "Demand Peace" Manifesto

    Admiral Chooses
-1 morale and damage Galactica twice
    OR
The President and the Admiral each discard their hand of Skill Cards

Least useful Super Crisis ever, heh. -1 Morale and double damage or discard 3 skill cards? There's a tough call

It's a good way to see if the Admiral is an unrevealed Cylon, I guess.

If you get that far with an unrevealed Admiral, though... maybe it's because they scouted Lion's Head and fuel is at 4.

In a way it's a shame that Personnel Damage didn't come up.. sufficiently bad luck on the Cylon trauma draws and nobody would have won. :P

Great game guys, it was fun watching you all play it. Too bad the humans couldn't boost morale...i've play so many games where morale is the factor of loss. Is it just me, or is morale the easiest thing to take down?

I swear to the one true God, this is what I expected to happen =)

So, let's tally up Cally's death count.

    1) She convinced Helena Cain to execute President Tory Foster, a loyal and true Human.
    2) She gave the order for a six-pack of Raiders to shoot down Starbuck, Commander - Air Group, and the subsequent injuries led to her death on the operating table.
    3) She influenced a vision in (President) Admiral Helo's subconscious mind that led him to his death.

So basically she killed all three titles, including the President twice. And all this without even using her OPG, which she definitely had an opportunity to use.

    Marvelous.

In case anybody's wondering, the last cards in the Quorum deck:

    Assign Chief of Staff
    Assign Mission Specialist
    Authorization of Brutal Force
    Assign Arbitrator
    Arrest Order
    Arrest Order
    Execute Prisoner

Arrest Order x2 and Execute Prisoner at the very bottom. Madness.

    Thanks for hosting, Tenek!

Well, the first time around I think it got out very quickly.

The second time around, bottom of the deck.

I was wondering where all the Assign _______ quorum cards ran off to.

Also I can't take credit for Starbuck's death - that was all Simon's doing, messing with the IV drip down in sickbay >.>

And yes, when I saw Disturbing Vision, I was like "welp, this is going to end badly for at least one of us."

I have in fact seen Demand Peace Manifesto deal the 2 damage to Pegasus, but that's because Prez and the Admiral have 7 or so skill cards each. Definitely the least useful Super crisis, though.

My memory is fuzzy but I'm pretty sure Caprica Six, a Hostile Cylon Leader in Exodus game 2, chose Benevolent for Opera House.. targeting the only revealed Cylon. Hella gutsy.

Thanks Tenek, good game guys - really could have went either way back there.

So...is there any particular reason BOTH humans chose to lose morale? o_O

I mean, if you had only one kind of token, that's all good but... yowsers.

Anyway, good game all! I was hoping it would last a bit longer, but at least I finally got to go through a crossroads phase :D

e- nope, Baltar had a benevolent token that would have given us +1 morale. :(

Sure, +1 Morale and Activate Raiders... Twice. That'd have been 16d8 against Galactica with predictable results, especially if I had a turn afterward.

Yeah, I keep forgetting there are no civvies on the board to start this phase. I'm...not exactly sure why that is.

Bleh, that sucked. Still a good game though :)

The last Civilian popped right after your Viper did and Cally and I never advanced the Pursuit track enough to spawn any more.

The other destination I had was "Spawn a basestar and 3 raiders in front of Galactica and 3 civilians behind Galactica".
It didn't seem like the better plan.

Yeah I figured 16d8 was going to make us lose with Gaeta going next and being able to auto one damage, odds say 2 out of those 16 d8s will result in hits. I'd probably have taken the civilians since we had 3 damage, but with our pop at 4, and the ability to make us place two more civs, its a close call.

    Anyways GG all.
