So I've been in the mood to watch a few good heist/robbery sort of movies. But I just can't think of anything good myself, so I'm hoping for a good list of things to watch.

I love the new Ocean's trilogy. They're my favorite heist movies.
Point Break -
The Thomas Crown Affair
Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
(Although these are more about the fallout of a heist, than the actual robbery itself. Don't know if that counts.)
"Entrapment" with Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta Jones is okay. Not my first choice, but if you run out of other options, it will suffice.
For something Western and humorous, "Maverick" with Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster may be up your alley.
I can recommend two recent TV series in addition (if you are looking for some entertaining rentals):
Hustle - Every episode, there's a new long con. Stellar cast and some pretty classic cons. The one where they fake a rare masterpiece is one of my favorites.
Leverage - Every episode, Nathan Ford says "Let's go steal a (insert bizarre thing here)". Like a hospital. Or a museum. Basically like a more modern version of the A-Team, except all of the team members are career criminals doing Robin Hood work. A lot of cameos from Star Trek, too.

The Sting
The Usual Suspects isn't strictly speaking a heist movie, but it has all the trappings of one. And it kicks the shit out of all these other heist movies anyway.

I like the new Ocean's movies, but only the first one is really a great film. The second one is a mess and the third one is way too taken with it's own gimmicks.

Give it a try!
Otherwise the new Ocean's Eleven is fabulous in every way imaginable, and I can re-recommend it along with The Usual Suspects, Inside Man, and The Thomas Crown Affair (I really like the new one with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo)

it isn't about a heist but the planning and execution of a prison break play out similarly to a lot of bank heist films- complex strategies, strict timelines, reconnaissance etc
Mamet isn't for everyone, but I dearly love all of those films.
Enemy of the State plays out like a Heist movie.
The Game was confusing and actioney like a Heist movie
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a comedy about two con men. Very funny, very good.
Inside Man was quite good.
Mission Impossible is of course a good movie with a substantial caper in it.
Matchstick Men was good.
The Town was really good too.

Also, Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels are very near and dear to my heart. They aren't strict heist movies, but they do revolve around stealin', and a good movie is a good movie.

Some of the ones below are off the beaten path, but pretty decent.
Confidence -- More of a con movie, but a good movie nevertheless.
The Good Thief -- A little less action-y than a lot of these, but a pretty damn good con/heist movie.
Out of Sight -- George Clooney is an convict looking for a big score; Jennifer Lopez is a U.S. Marshall. They fall in love in the midst of Clooney's escape/heist.
The Score -- Not as good as Heist, but a pretty solid effort by Deniro and Ed Norton (playing a mentally challenged guy again).
Mission Impossible I - You've probably seen it, but a nice heist/spy crossover.
Stark Raving Mad - Seann William Scott in a heist movie sounds bad but it was quirkly and fun.
The original Thomas Crown Affair. The remake is okay.
If you count movies about finding the loot obtained by a heist at the very beginning of the movie or before the movie to count, there are no greater classics than It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and Hold that Ghost.
For movies that include heist plots, see every Marx Bros movie through A Day at the Races (there were a couple of full-out heists after that movie, but those aren't classics). They all have a heist as at least a B-plot, if you can say they had plots at all.
For gangstery movies, there's The Naughty Nineties.
