they got like these people that bum money over here, it's mainly women and children and they come up to you asking if you speak english or german or whatever; they have a card with "can I have some money" written on it in every language.
So if you give them money they have like a beggar ring leader who collects all the money. Not sure what they do with it, could be anything.
I found swearing at them in German is the best way to keep them away from you. Obviously, the kids don't get this treatment because you can shoo them away pretty easily anyways.
Note, this was in Paris, not sure about other places.

The most interesting comment I have heard regarding homeless people is from a person who was homeless.
He said he never gives them money because he said, if you were on a the street you have a damn good reason, and hand outs aren't going to make them get off the street and there are plenty of services to get them off the street.
I don't really mind homeless dudes that are begging

He's done this before. I seriously doubt he's going to skip town on such a lucrative scheme when he already has a loyal, gullible base of supporters who will mostly accept whatever excuses he gives for why the rapture didn't happen on schedule again. And even if he loses members from his flock, I'm sure there's plenty of other gullible people he can fleece the next time he feels like pulling this stunt.
