There's something about video game OST's that invokes strange emotions within me, senses of nostalgia and memory of long forgotten mysteries yet uncovered, and, for this same reason, games without a strong soundtrack just never feel quite as good as those that do.

Seriously! I also loved it my first time playing Oblivion and Patrick Stewart is narrating the opening scene and says "... and this is the hour of my death" and then the old Morrowind theme hits a crescendo. Goddamn cinematic.

I always had the sound turned off when I played WoW except the bloodelf starting zones.

They had music that was absolutely amazing.

I had no idea I could turn off the sound when I played during vanilla, so all of that music just brings back so many memories.

The one thing I questioned more than anything else when Cata came around was if they were going to keep the OSTs from Vanilla.
