You have a 500 point sideboard you should fill out.

Oh nice thanks. There's no real change to my lists, +1 Nightshade frigate to each squadron with that 100 points freed up from my commander, and the 40k list only shuffles around units to/from the main/sideboard lists. And I drop eldritch storm :v

I'll amend my post with the extra points.

I have no idea how to play this game. I saw a bit of fluff about ratios of Endurances to Endeavors and decided to roll with it. Gonna lose every game!

No way dude, that many cruisers are going to be hard to kill. It's a valid tactic.

I have been thinking of this and I have decided that rather do the moves in initiative order that we just put in all of our moves at the start of the turn and resolve and conflicts with the initiative if necessary. Also I am tired of waiting on Huntzy, so I am just going to move him to sector 1.

START OF TURN 2! Everyone turn in your orders! Lets get this going!

Zealous Might takes the largest moon of Aestas-5. A Dark Angels strike force deploys on the moon's surface.

That's where you are. Raiding fleets automatically land on the planet of the sector they are in.

Unless you meant to stay where you are, which is ... cool.

Oh, okay. I thought I had to explicitly drop off dudes. I guess I'm not fully understanding yet. :P Other than to fight the 40ks, what's my goal?

  • ElderCatElderCat Registered User, ClubPA regular

The actual goal is to gain renown. If you hold a planet for an entire round you gain 1 renown. If you hold more planets you gain more renown. Also, if you leave people on more planets there is a greater chance of you playing a game of 40k. Which can get you more renown.

Okay, so by moving to a system I automatically drop (and leave) people on the planet? Got it! As a raiding force, I auto-flee if I encounter other ships, right? Or can I sneak in, drop off the angry women, and fly away?

    why are you smelling it?
  • ElderCatElderCat Registered User, ClubPA regular
    edited June 2011
No auto fleeing, you evade the other fleets you come across because you are composed of only fast ships.

    Not sneaky, just fast! Efficient!

I am thinking we should cap it at 10 actually, with the problems we are having getting everyone to submit orders, I think maybe we should not take on anyone new right now.

I redid the system map to allow for a clearer designation of where the fleets were in the sectors. The top half is high orbit, the bottom half is approach.

Nope, you repair at the aftermath step, which is the end of your initiative. Or the initiative of the person who attacked you. You can do something else right now.

Is this first or second turn? Because I'd like to also set mans down on the main planet at Aestas 7, but not sure if I need to go to approaching then back to orbit over that from the moon.

No, this is (still) 2nd turn, you already said you wanted to land troops on the planet, and I moved you into high orbit to do so.

We are waiting on orders from Mazzyx, Halos and Huntzy, and Pollo and Matev need to fight their 40k game, before Pollo can give his orders for this turn.

Also I know I had to swap around my BFG fleet. Here is that list and also since I haven't done a single game of 40k, is it okay to set up a different list? Because I kind of want to run something fun, not something boring like I wrote before. Just out of habit with tournament list thing.

Tyranid orders; I guess I should put some vanguard organisms on this planet in my sector (8), so I should move into high orbit? That sounds about right, if it's wrong feel free to shout at me.

Since you are a raiding fleet you automatically enter high orbit, so you seeded that planet last turn.

Your choices are: do nothing this turn, have a 40k game against Leaf, go to the asteroid belt.

Well I guess you can jump back in if you get more time, but for now, lets see if we can speed things up with fewer people. Huntzy said he was super busy for a while and he hasn't posted in over a week, so I am going to take him out too, but he can come back when he has more time as well.

So it's Pollo's initiative and then it's a new turn.

    LET'S DO THIS!

Default victory is the best victory. It's also probably the only kind I'll get, so I'm happy with it.

As a raiding fleet, I don't go into approach? For the purposes of renown, do moons count the same as planets for me? So I can move into high orbit over the big moon here and drop guys there too? I'll do that if it's a legal move.

edit: Actually I'm not sure if moons are separate or not. If they aren't I'll jump on Aestas-1.

Be excellent to each other you stupid cunts.

Moons are not separate, there is only one habitable biosphere per sector.

Ok, Aestas-1 is controlled by Skarsol. So arrange yourselves a 40k game.
