I'm being tortured with voodoo! (What's wrong with my foot?)

Last night I'm chilling with my roomate, playing X360. Suddenly, I get this very sharp pain right on my ankle, as if someone is piercing me with a needle. I mean, it's really painful, then it goes away.

It happened every 5 or so minutes, I went to bed and no problem. Today, I feel ok, but I'm still getting that very sharp pain on my ankle, every few minutes. What the hell is this? I don't have anything on my foot, it doesn't have any redness, itchiness or any splinters or foreign bodies in it. I'm currently barefoot and sitting here on the computer I just got it again.

What is going on here?

sounds like a pinched nerve. Did you go to a doctor?

This is likely cramping or a nerve issue.

Eat some banana's for potassium. Or drink some Gatorade.

I'd think if it were a nerve, then it would also have a tingly feeling with it, but probably not all the time.

Haven't had any pain since I posted, hopefully it's gone.

No tingling, nothing, just this really sharp pinch, just like a needle.

Had something like this happen to me a few years back. Had a doctor check it out and was recommended to get some shoe inserts to help with pronation that was causing some muscle/ligament strain. They were SuperFeet as I recall (ended up not needing custom orthodics thankfully).

I'm going to guess posture. You were playing xBox... probably super tensed muscles because you're competing and lots of people do this without realizing it. I'm going to guess legs were tucked under something - chair legs, seat, or you're sitting on them, or similar.

Bad posture + legs / ankles in stress position for hours + muscle tension all over = strange sharp nerve pain that goes away after a day or so.

I don't think it's anything to worry about, if it persists for a whole day, go to a doctor. Probably pulled a ligament or something equally dumb.

    Is it sore? Anything else?

Still got some sudden pain today, it's very akin to what a fireant bite feels like, but only for a few seconds. It's definitely weird.

It happened a lot while driving, but it's also happened while I'm laying down on my bed reading. No soreness, redness, no anything. It's probably happened only twice today and not as intense as before.

That sounds kinda like Sciatica, but, meh, probably not that severe, just a nerve pinch somewhere.
