Ok, I suppose I just concede that I'm really not very knowledgeable about musics and I'm just ranting about pretty much nothing of import. But I want to say that "The Killers" is a very misleading name for a soft rock group.

I don't listen to metal or... whatever it might be called, these days.
I'm not sure if a band can become metal/scary/hard/disturbing than what's out there today.
Like Slipknot - everything I've seen from their music/video media disturbs the crap out of me, and I'm not sure how much further there is left to go after shit like that.
my grandparents had a color TV when I was little, but they mostly watched Nick at Nite on it so about half of the TV I saw at their house was in black and white anyways.

Oh man, trying to use the Google site search feature to egosearch, I stumbled across a very old thread by a former forumer whose sig is a quote of me responding to someone asking to have the importance of proper grammar explained without using the letter E.
I thought this had been completely lost to time.
It allows for distinct communication of thoughts without causing confusion and constructs a common standard for such communication.
And now I have saved it in a Google doc so I'll never lose it again.
The only thing I find funny about the current "young generation" is that since all the previous generations rebelled against their parents and their music by making their own music continually more hard rocking, we reached the point of terminal rockocity. The current generation can't rock any harder to offend or frighten their parents, so they have to go the other way and make bland, dull music.

current (read: popular, indie or "folk") music is more along the lines of abstractions and images than say being "soft rock"
boring? sure that's fair because it's a bunch of fucking bearded dudes shooting music videos in the fucking woods like it's a country music video (TIME FOR FUN IN THE BARN)
but as for not having balls, eh. if anything, turn to a rock station in say the midwest, blue collar east coast or the south
it's a lot of dudes screaming about fighting, or getting blowjobs and crying about their retarded girlfriends
