They did. But just looking at the cast list made me suppress a gag reflex. The reviews on Netflix are not promising.

I loved those books as a kid. I refuse to watch this drek.
Haha Love this review: "The only excuse I can think of for the existence of this movie is because someone found a way to generate power from E. R. B. Spinning in his grave."
I really really enjoyed that, some tasty voice acting from Ron Perlman and Claudia Black in it to.
"I am Conan; I serve no man."
"Would you serve a woman then?"
"Service her perhaps."
That run was pretty awesome especially the first book, The Frost-Giant's Daughter And Other Stories.
I am so excited for the John Carter of Mars thing

John Carter is basically who I wanted to be when I grew up. He's like Superman without all the lame shit about truth and justice. Instead he's just a hopped-up Appalachian with a sabre who goes around chopping up Goro monsters and banging Martian broads and hanging out with a giant green lion-dachshund.
I'm not at all sure about the movie, though. Those books are basically what you point to when you're talking about the concept of "unfilmable."
bummer
I'm stuck with "Jenny and Me."
