Religious institutions and their related affiliates (such as a Knights of Columbus hall or whatever) would be allowed to deny use of their facilities to gay marriagers, if I'm not mistaken.
i am just hella sad that i am reminded that in my state (virginia) the likeliness of anything resembling gay marriage being passed before scotus action is about 0

That seems fair.
I'm all for gay marriage, but not for forcing Churches to comply if they don't want to.
My friend is working on a roguelike game you can play if you want to. (It has free demo)

That's basically the bottom line for it.
Civil unions do not work, there's no legal justification for denying this right to these people.
I think he did very well.

It's an easy concession. Our laws shouldn't be dictated by religion and our religious services shouldn't be dictated by the government.
If the world were sane, that'd alleviate any potential issues the public would have with allowing committed couples to wed.

if this gay marraige law passes in New York that will really give the muslims another reason to attack N.Y. again. It's like waiving a red flag in front of a bull...
I wonder how many gay folks believe in God? Do they believe in the Scriptures? Do they believe in obeying any of God's commandments? Is it pick and choose? Just askin?
Is this what our country was founded on? I don't think so.
Our fore-fathers would be ashamed right now to see that it is already passed in five state. This isn't right. Our country was founded on The Bible, the word of God. We're sinking to a whole new level. And Obama just had to go to a gay fundraiser making it seem okay. No, it is not okay.
I do not condone or approve of this.

i am really impressed with it
he looked into it and said "welp my campaigning was wrong, but looking at this, there's no reason for them not to have this right."

He's too humble.

I wonder if they'll introduce a new gay marriage proposal over here
I just checked and Oregon currently has domestic partnership benefits for same-sex couples, but not marriage

People are way too afraid of being called a flip-flopper to ever say "you know what, I changed my mind," anymore.
