Used furniture and bedbugs. I don't want bedbugs, I don't want to buy new.

So I need some furniture but being the broke cheap ass that I am, I really don't want to buy new furniture.

All I need is a love seat and a couple of chairs.

Is there anyway to minimize the risk of getting a bedbug infection from used furniture? Sometime I really wish they still use DDT.

Bedbugs don't like heat. Once you buy your stuff, put it in the garage or something until you get a chance to rent a steamcleaner. Then as you steamclean the heck out of your furniture, check it carefully for dead bugs, living bugs, bug poop, or bug eggs.

Where are you from, some places you have to worry about it more than others.
