According to the two law enforcement officials, the woman had a phone conversation with an incarcerated man within a day of her encounter with Mr. Strauss Kahn in which she discussed the possible benefits of pursing the charges against him. The conversation was recorded.

    EDIT: Damn your telepathy, sheep!

The medical examination was still consistent with her account, though.

And are we really shocked that a hotel maid was of dubious immigration status or that a rape victim would weigh the pros and cons of taking one of the most powerful men in the world to court for a sex crime?

This is a long shot, but does anyone here know how I could remove 100 micron scale pitting from the ways for O-Rings in stainless steel?

Polishing is out of the question, so I'm thinking some type of electroplating.

I'm not really a fan of guilty until proven innocent.

The word is that the prosecution is considering dropping the case altogether.

No, a lot of mine are like this as well. It's fun and funny. Until it isn't, which is why I've made a concerted effort to be more genuine and less sarcastic to my friends and lovers.

How about innocent of rape until the rape kit confirms the alleged victim's story?
“She made outcries to multiple witnesses immediately after the incident, both to hotel staff and law enforcement. She was then taken to the hospital and was given a full sexual assault forensic examination. The observations and findings during that exam corroborate her accounts.”

That was proof enough for me, and everything occurring afterward is just a distraction.

Why is polishing not going to work? A bit of diamond paste should sort that right out.

I don't know anything about the surfaces of all the different types of steel, so I've no idea if electropolishing or deposition would work or whether you'd end up with something terrible.

Also: why are you doing these? Surely the roughness doesn't matter if you have O-rings?

I swear to God there's someone in charge of this shit with a massive fetish.

If that woman's cleavedge made one more person pick the game up off the shelf, it was a net positive for microprose. And to be blunt, if taking her top off could have increased sales enough to get a sequel, I'd endorse it 100000% because I like playing great games.

yes. my family wants a home phone so we have one.

and yeah! shit's crazy. i called verizon and they were like 'well we're just the billing agent, you have to call them if you have problems on that charge'

me: so a third party company told you that i owe them money, and you've opted to charge me without confirming the debt? how... how is that possible?

    them: we're just a billing agent o_o

so i had to call the company and they took it off immediately

Yeah, it's like...if I feel comfortable with you, I can be the real me with you. Which is a rude, verbally abusive asshole.

Passed super restrictive abortion clinic regulations, gave clinics the regulation on a monday and expected them to be in compliance with architectural insanities by wednesday.

Kansas after Dr. Tiller's murder only has 3 functioning abortion clinics, after their recent bullshit, just one has been licensed to remain in business, and that was a last minute reprieve. Oh also their new regulations directly violate patient privacy requiring clinics make available womens medical records for the state or their rep.

It's pretty deep pitting, and 100 micron is the scale I think I need to remove. There's stuff up to about 500 microns.

It's a plasma cleaner, which was used with iodine for years which corroded the hell out of it. Since the people using it evidently never thought about the implications of the more reactive cousin of chlorine being used with stainless steel.

The basic problem is this thing doesn't go down lower then about 2 mbar, which is worthless for plasma penetration or any notion of selecting the gas composition in the chamber.

Getting into the ways to polish anything mechanically is basically a complete pain in the ass, not to mention runs the risk of completely fucking up the existing O-ring dimensions.

My current solution is to plate copper onto the ways since you can pipette a solution in there pretty easily, and hopefully level them out.
