I remember when Mordin was first announced, everyone was like, "WTF?! A fast talking Salarian? This is gonna suck!"

Cue game release and now everyone wants in his pants.

I dunno, I thought the Salarians in ME1 had plenty of personality. Lots of fast-talking hustlers, similar to WOW's Goblins.

I myself wanted a Salarian squadmate since ME1.

    "Hold the line!"

I wasn't against Mordin, but my attitude toward the idea of a Salarian squad member was apathetic. You live, you learn, but mostly you learn you were an idiot.

The mech dog that sits on the ship and does nothing? That's part of the collector's edition?

Anybody else thinking voting for Fem Shep's hair color is a bit much?
I was perfectly fine with her being blonde, but BioWare must have wanted to compromise with the audience that did not like her.

Nonetheless, I liked the first generic Fem Shep. She was good too.

Meh. Like I said, I'm pretty sure the whole voting thing was just a way for fans to get involved and have fun with the series.

But like everything, internet nerdrage poisoned it.

As for default Shepard...new redhair Shepard is far superior.

I don't really care. I'll be using my custom femshep in ME3 anyway.
But I do like the new red hair femshep

So many people liked blonde shepard for her hair style, not color. Heck, was it more than a day someone had already recolored her hair red and posted it here? Consesus: it was hot.

    Now we get it. Awesome.

I still want Urz. Screw any of these other pet type things. At least then there would be a rational, non-mind obliterating reason to have Varren scale-itch on board.

Has there been any word on the other faces from the poll being presets in ME3? I remember liking the short haired one (#1) I think, and #3.

I've been replaying ME2 with all the DLC so I can have a file to take into 3 with all the decisions I want. I hadn't really payed attention to the DLC weapons before, and I now see that was a poor decision. The Phalanx, Arc Projector and Eviscerator are all really good, and this is the first time I've ever chose the assault rifle as the bonus weapon. The assault rifles have always seemed really underwhelming up until now, but the Mattock has really grown on me. So that is the Mattock the gameplay videos we have seen of ME3, right? I will be quite happy if it has made it into ME3.

I wonder if there's a way to mod ME1 for little old completionist me so all the little things on the 29 non-plot mission worlds are available on the map, instead of having to run into them by chance or look at a strategy guide constantly when driving the Mako.

    Spoiler:

I'm not aware of any, I'm afraid. And I've looked.

Actually it's very easy to get all of them just by playing normally, there are more locations of these things than there is stuff to collect. So you will get them all eventually anyway and excess is just turned into credits. So I wouldn't fret about precise locations.

  • OrcaOrca Registered User regular
If you don't care about completionism, yeah.

If you're one of those sick fucks that wants to complete the minerals quest, the Matriarch's writings quest, etc. etc., you're not going to be able to complete all of them just by hitting each planet and hitting the visible points; you will need to hit some of those off the beaten path.

But you certainly don't need to hit every single one. The collection quests include a total of something like 1/4 or 1/3 extra beyond what's needed to complete them.

For the completionist, the best way I've found to find everything is to have the ME wikia up and double check everything as you go. It's not elegant, but it's effective. At least, that's how I've done it the past umpteen times.

  • OrcaOrca Registered User regular
Yeah, that's how I've done it. There's also a handy dandy checklist of planets so you can make sure you've hit every single one of them. Many of them don't unlock immediately.

Same here, I usually copy/paste a list of all the assignments into notepad, and then delete each line as I go by. That's what I do for the collection quests like the keepers in ME1, when I bother to do them.

  • Renegade WolfRenegade Wolf Registered User regular
That sounds like a good idea. Went through 7 playthroughs and I never thought to do that.

Though I only did most of the side quests in 4 or 5 of them. And the collection quests only once because fuck them

No word, and we probably can't edit it.

    CaseyDHudson Casey Hudson
@LaisBonaccorsi: @CaseyDHudson Will we be able to change the Default Fem. Shepard Hair color?” No, to customize you make your own character

So it's good (for me) that Red won in the end, although it seems so simple I don't see why they can't accommodate it.

Maybe it's for the same reason you can't customize VanderlooShep, a more detailed model or something.

Maybe it will be nicer hair, and maybe it is super hard to make nice looking hair and they will only have enough megahertz to support the one color

two colors will cost you Tali

    three, the Normandy
