Wait, someone from here invited me to a huddle while I was on my phone. I joined, saw the last message was sent yesterday...opened up G+ on my laptop, and see no evidence of any huddle invite or record anywhere, under notifications or otherwise.
Oh so it's exactly like that Blackberry thing my SO constantly raves about. I can't remember what it's called, but it allows you to create permanent group texting chatrooms between you and whichever contacts are also in that group.
Does it alert the people in the group every time I write something and post it? Hopefully not.
I just made a post in facebook which is essentially the beginning of a eulogy.

Yeah, that's why I added my forum name to my "Nickname" section so that if people get an invite from me they can go, "Oh, that's that dude from the forums"

I just pulled his quote about the City out of my sig recently
I just realized: In allowing people to add e-mail addresses to their circles (instead of limiting it to existing G+ accounts), Google has expedited the transition from Facebook to G+. I mean think about it, if your inbox is suddenly getting flooded by notifications of things people are posting on G+, aren't you going to at least make an account so you can turn off e-mail notifications? And if you make an account, why not use it?
That is too bad, I was kinda hoping for a fast way to add the SE folks on G+

there's got to be some way to mark a profile publicly but innocuously so we can identify each other through a normal search without revealing we're all nerds to everyone else, but I have no idea how to go about engineering that solution
