but I learned of someone in a neighbouring city who is desperate to adopt out two long-haired piggies the same age as ours :3

it was probably the fault of the pet shop we bought it at
there was no way we could pick it up and let it out of its cage thing without it trying to bite

I bought our two, because for some reason it didn't occur to me that there are guinea-pig shelters

then I learned about the evils of pet stores (although some stores now only help adopt out animals from shelters :^: ) and feel really bad we did not adopt

ours are so fat

when they died, we would bury them in little boxes
one time, a hamster died and we put it in the box and set it in our garage for a burial the next day
when we went to bury it the box was all chewed up and the hamster was gone

the awesome hungarian vet I go to has picked the most adorable little kitten off the street and is taking care of her until someone can adopt her

I completely sympathize with your vet.

I had a kitten at the apartment for a couple days. I'm so glad someone offered to take care of him for us. It'd have killed me if he'd ended up at a shelter.
