man, you didn't put up any of their absolutely excellent songs. i mean, i like istanbul as much as the next dude, but only because of memories of tiny toons. i wouldn't be blasting that shit. TMBG made a lot of great pop songs with catchy hooks and some actual heartfelt lyrics before they fell into being a geek/children rock band. their music videos from the late 80s were made on a shoestring budget and were actually so much more fresh and more stylish than most of the cheesy ass shit that came out in those days. check these out:

Judy is Your Viet Nam is really good too but it's too short! There's a few songs of theirs that I'd like a lot better if they were about a minute longer. Sapphire Bullets of Pure Love is another one that comes to mind.
