Was that a whining forum appearance or one of the holiday forums? Either way, those pages followed by Tube's reaction may have been the funniest thing I've ever seen on the forums.
I don't know about splinter forums, but I remember the first time I came or started coming regularly to SE++ was the unfair banning vote.

Seriously one of my favorite things that ever happened in this forum.
I just remember seeing I think the announcement for it and then going okay lets go check this out and I don't even recall whom I voted for I just remember thinking how barbaric.

Then I went on vacation for a week.
When I came back and was catching up, the unfair banning competition had just begun.
I read every single post of all those threads, amazed.
Then the voting thread was a blast to read.
Then in the span of 5 pages on the closing Aftermath thread, TFS was banned, Pony acted silly enough that Tube gave both himself and Pony, the runners up, an infraction just so Pony would be temp banned, and everybody who voted in a "secret ballot" was made public.
Then I decided, fuck, this is the greatest forum on the Internet.
Everything about that entire competition was fantastically horrible, yet perfect in every way.

yeah if wren posted with the same frequency that teefs did I might have been tempted
but teefs always had a shitstorm following her in every thread - not all of that was her fault, but it really sucked having it pop up in every fucking thread for pages on end
I'm pretty sure I did too. I always thought his dumb bullshit was way more obnoxious and damaging to decent conversations than anyone else on that list.
I suspect most of the folks that would get mad about Teefs just went on to find something else to get mad about.

The best part about that was Pony was being so silly, Tube decided to give the 2nd and 3rd place winners an infraction each.
Which meant Tube actually gave himself an infraction just so Pony would be temp banned.
