Well, first of all Vriska is definitely Electric Guitar, and Equius is definitely a harp, and Gamzee is definitely a Pan Flute not Tavros.

Nah you wanna stay away from guitar in my opinion. Go towards less used instruments for character.

The harp goes with Kanaya perfectly with beauty and fashion and a classiness to it. I wouldn't give Gamzee a pan flute just because he's a goat guy, it fits Tavros with his whole FANTASY schtick. I stuck Equius with Bagpipes because they'd be so obnoxious but he'd be all "This is royalty music it must be played."

That's my reasoning anyway.

Your reasoning is BAD.
Equius would play the harp because he already has the centaur with a bow schtick. Gamzee plays the pan flute because he's a Satyr that is what they do, they PARTY and play PAN FLUTES. Vriska gets an electric guitar, she is not barred from it just because someone in another universe has a bass guitar.
