Alyce and I live up near Newburgh, so if there are any gatherings in the area make sure to let us know. We're much more likely to hang out on the weekends if we don't have an hour and a half drive to look forward to.

Oh HELL no. I won't be running this game for at least a month and a half from now.

I want people's character concepts so I can make an "episode" for each character, that thematically ties into the main plot.

I am totes running this game like a season of television. A concluded plot every night, a few nods to something bigger... then a season finale where the megaplot rears its many festering heads and eyestalks.

This will be an epic display of geekdom. We will order pizzas, have alcohol and other fun stuff on tap, and are going to make this a day of fun and nerdish revelry.

We are now less than three weeks away, some people are coming from out of state for this... I want to start planning a bit better.

We will be doing signature cocktails for each movie, with general drinking throughout the day. Also, we have lots of delivery options, so everyone will be able to get something they want. Food won't be an issue.

Just need to get a handle on how many people plan to attend, so we can get the start of our booze planning going.

Also, we may need to bulk-buy our tickets for the avengers in advance, and collect money from the people who show up to guarantee we all get in.

So, initial head count?

There is a 6.95 lunch special at our chinese place that gets you soup, food and fried rice. It's easily two meals, especially if you stretch it with cheap snacks.

I'll be there, but my apartment is supposedly having a Quatro de Mayo party the day before, so I might not make it for the earlier movies (which is a shame, because Iron Man is the best of the bunch...). But definitely count on me showing up!

Our son has come down with a severe case of not-doing-jack-all-for-school. The only cure is physically watching him do his work.
Hopefully he gets enough work done that we can do our own thing for a day when May comes around. I would love to go.

Shame you will miss the avengers, but still plenty of good times before then.

I'll definitely be there but I'm not exactly sure when as of yet. I know I won't be there from about 5 to 7 and my going to The Avengers itself depends on what time we see it but it's probably the movie I most want to see so I'm hoping to go.

This summer, I planned on hosting gettogethers on the weekends in Saratoga Springs, NY for board games, movies, and perhaps some strolls downtown. I can offer a place to stay if you aren't local. Also, I'd like to point out just how excited I am for the Avengers movie to come out! I hope you guys have a blast, I will be watching it when it premiers locally.

If the latter, what's the name of your local theater?

I don't mind doing a bulk buy... thats why I was trying to get a head count last week.

Also also, I mixed up my weekends and I thought D20 burlesque was last weekend when I was broke as a joke but it turns out it is this Saturday. I am a little indifferent since this month's theme is the Whedonverse but I might go if there is interest.
