Once upon a time there was a band named Corrosion of Conformity.
They were kind of shitty.
They went through a slue of singers and sounded like this:
Then, suddenly, a hero emerged:
(pictured right)
PEPPER KEENAN.
Now, Pepper is a pretty rad guitarist. I ain't know shit about playing guitar, but the sounds he makes are pretty spectacular. He makes everything sound really neat.
He took Corrosion of Conformity by the balls and made them sound like this:
Not quite content with just fixing the lame ass vocals (also because the dude who sang on that album quit), Pepper took it to the next step and started singing.
And, for years, COC has been pretty goddamn rocking:
BUT WAIT!
THERE'S MORE!
In between making sweet albums with COC, Pepper is also in the Super Group that Ted Nugent wishes he was in: DOWN!
Now, Pantera was pretty boss. So was COC. But sometimes Phil Anselmo needs to do things to pretend he is still relevant.
This is where Down comes in.
Featuring Pepper and Phil and dudes from bands no one cares about, they rock just as hard, and are planning a new album.
