I'd like to get some people together and slog through all of NWN2 some time. I need to actually finish that game and maybe having people along for the trek with smart ass commentary would make it bearable.
I'm thinking I may tweak/change my character concept. I like the basic idea, but there's something not quite right about it.
So far we have a Bodyguard/Diplomat, a Slitherbot cop, and an rebellious heiress with a Fury, right?
Slitherbot PI, but yeah. also the heiress is a small time merc, i'm trying to keep most of my skills more gears towards social interactions while having one or two useful combat skills beyond just being tough.

I wanna make a Deva Hybrid Avenger|Invoker. The only problem is I want my weapon to be a scythe, so I can be a grim reaper, but that doesn't work unless I MC into an arcane class to get Arcane Implement Proficiency (Heavy Blades).
's not too hard to make it work. Both Avenger and Invoker have an Int secondary, and you only need 13 Int to get the Swordmage multiclass, Blade Initiate, giving you Heavy Blades as an implement. Versatile Expertise (Heavy Blades) to get the math fix for both implement and weapon attacks and you're good to go.

Yeah, that's why I'm considering switching - it seems like we've got social covered pretty well, all things considered.
Do we need a more combat focused/tankish character, or perhaps a hacker?
a hacker would be useful, yeah, as near as i know, no one here can hack a computer worth a damn. i think everyone has some combat ability so it's not super necessary we need a tank i reckon. i got like durability 65 or so, so i can fill if we really need it.

Yeah, just not sure how well arcane fits in with the theme. I was actually going to just use a staff as a weapliment, take Staff Expertise, and just flavor it that the staff looks like a scythe, but mechanically it'd still be identical to a staff.
Hey rules question for @solar When determining ego stats (initiative and what not) they change based on the morph right? being in a body with more will make syou more sane or soemthing? i figure es, but i just want to make sure.

me and my friends are playing Arkham Horror a whole bunch lately
I'm thinking of getting the Kingsport Horror expansion soon
anyone knows any other games that might appeal to people who like the AH style? I love the Lovecraftian setting, but I wouldn't mind something new
Kingsport is probably the least of the big expansions. It's got a few neat things but doesn't really add as much as dunwich or Innsmouth, Innsmouth is probably my favourite.

It's so hard to find those expansions, though. Or at least, it is for me.
That story will be his legacy. Sure he's a tall attractive man that's been in a movie, but that story. It defines him.

how are these games played without use of a table
are they floor games.
why aren't they floor top games
gamers can't afford tables. or floors.
A magician gives you a ring that, when worn, will let you see the world as it truly is.
However, the ring will never leave your finger, and you will be unable to ever describe to another living person what you see.

@Solar Alright, here's the retooled/recreated character.
AnonSi
AnonSi is a Cyber Tagger, a hacker/artist who uses his talent for system cracking as a form of artistic expression and social commentary. He's well known in underground art circles and autonomist habitats for his for both his vibrant, synaesthetic simulspace design, and his strong anti-hypercapitalism message. A once-prolific artist, he went into hiding after he completed what he had referred to as his "First True Masterpiece", in which he hacked into the personal meshspace of a well-known hypercorps spokesperson and turned it into a "vivid, modern reinterpretation of Dante's Hell". Commenting on the backlash from the piece AnonSi responded "I did nothing wrong. [The Spokesperson] had turned themselves into what they were, I was only showing them their reflection."
Ran through the PA deckbuilding game by myself to get a feel for how everything works, and it seems fairly solid. Figuring out who won is going to be a bit of a pain though, and that might rob the game of some tension.

Shit's expensive in the future.
I probably would've spent that all on moxie for no reason.
i have like 40 grand wroth of gear, and i don't think money from character creation carries over. but then i i might be thinking of shadowrun.
So far we have a Bodyguard/Diplomat, a Slitherbot cop, and an rebellious heiress with a Fury, right?
Like Betrayal or Dixit or Smallworld or The Great Dalmuti or Guillotine?
I didn't answer.
This time? Probably won't, but I'll at least look at the site.
I am absolutely certain this is fine.
I played the shit out of the Castle Ravenloft boardgame at PAX. That was some fun, and no mistake.
there is but one question: can you play it on a table?
Slitherbot PI, but yeah. also the heiress is a small time merc, i'm trying to keep most of my skills more gears towards social interactions while having one or two useful combat skills beyond just being tough.
Indeed.

I am planning on making it to next PAX. If this works out, I will bring my Fluxx deck, just for you.
