I've been flipping coins and weighing my options all day. So far it's coming down to the Deva Warlock/Wizard/Invoker, the Goliath Brawler Fighter, the Gith Ranger, the Tiefling Runepriest and the Warforged Rogue
I wanna make a Deva Hybrid Avenger|Invoker. The only problem is I want my weapon to be a scythe, so I can be a grim reaper, but that doesn't work unless I MC into an arcane class to get Arcane Implement Proficiency (Heavy Blades).
I ain't so hot on Deathwatch just because I prefer the idea of working for the Inquisition, but then Space Marine may convince me otherwise
Rogue Trader also looks very promising
You do work in interest of the Inquistion and the Imperium just how you do this in death watch and Dark hersey is up to the group.
Rogue Trader for me is meh I don't know why it looks like fun but getting people to play it around here was a pain in the ass. I play deathwatch with my freind since she find it a lot of fun to do really insane things and live

Its the only male character i made for that entire thing. He's not actaully a knight, Sir Varis is his given name, because his parents wanted him to become a knight and what better way?
Also @solar I have my character sheet done minus buying equipment, should I post dat?
Indeed please do so
Also as the last discussion ended there are indeed uplifted parrots in EP...
There are lots of uplifts including parrots. Pigs, cats and dogs have been uplifted as well I think, though they are rarer. Basically most animals have been experimented on as uplifts at some point, though only Octopi, Avians, Chimps, Dolphins and Whales are really common in any way.

gatsby I came into this thread just to say you seems pretty cool and I would give you serious bro grabs irl
I am going to stay in this thread because I heard there are tables in here
I'm not sure how much money I should have in Eclipse Phase. Kinda leery about not having enough saved up to replace a morph if it should happen to go down in a bad way.
Psychosurgery is fun, especially if you remember how it totally skeeves out a lot of people in-universe because they don't want that one constant of their existence (their minds) messed with without their consent.
Hello tabletop thread. How many of you would be interested in learning Battletech? Wargames can be fun too you know! Battletech is one of the oldest ones around and has everything from tanks and aircraft to the mechs that are the cornerstone of the game and the universe behind it. It's fairly easy to learn and thanks to megamek, free to play online.
Also Battletech artdump because giant robots are hella cool
I have suddenly had an idea for a sort of Necromunda/Mordheim style gang territory game
It came to me while looking at Wiet's pictures, particularly the third one; forget Necromunda's aribiters, the police around here use GIANT ROBOTS, and from there the idea just wouldn't go away
I'm going to think of a way to make this happen

I've got an incredible amount of Battletech figs and sourcebooks because I love the universe but I cannot seriously consider playing the game ever
Why not? It can be overwhelming when you start out but it's not actually all that complicated, especially not when you're using Megamek and the computer rolls the dice and tracks things like heat and armour on its own.
Also @solar I have my character sheet done minus buying equipment, should I post dat?

A'ight, here it is, I made up a couple knowledge skills
@Solar got a character sheet worked out I think. Went easy on the equipment. Pretty sure I got the math right, but beyond that I dunno if it's any good.
The murdermen are being sent your way as we speak. Have a nice day.
Also, i need to clean up my stuff for EP, i need to spend 8 points. got all the gear and shit i need, i am thinking 5 in still and then get some more rep. then i will have some more rep and skills
I was sorely tempted to buy more moxie, because so many of my skills hug the 40-60 area that benefits so strongly from being able to flip your dice roll in a time of need.
In the end I reckoned being able to afford a replacement morph without taking on debt if needed was a better investment.

I get puns.
Agreeing with fishman.
That came off creepier than I'd hoped.
I promise you I shall do whatever voice I find necessary for my characters.
I don't half-arse roleplay.
But we shall see once i actually start doing this voice work.
Eh, with my years of smoking, yelling, and eating jagged objects, i'm not holding out much hope.
Eh, I met in terms of accents and characteristics. I like to get into my character a little, makes these sort of games more fun.
Drama club and a long-held-onto ambition to be a voice actor does things to you man.
Weird things.
Indeed please do so

roll to retain control of your character

Also Battletech artdump because giant robots are hella cool
Tommy you too are very cool and these bro grabs would be more than happily reciprocated.

But it gets to be too much when both sides have more than a lance in play at a time
