This is now the 4th GSL (after GSL1, GSL2 and GSL January. Only counting Code S) where the semifinals are 3 Terrans and 1 Zerg. In two of those cases, the Zerg won (FruitDealer and NesTea). In the other case, MVP beat NesTea in the semis and won the title.
Is that on the PTR? i.e. did Blizzard manage to create what seems to be another bug by trying to fix something else (Drone attacks)?
No the idea is that you can now get way more drone attacks on a small surface area by stacking them like they do when they all go for a mineral (think when a base is about to be mined out). So instead of like 3 drones being able to attack a walled off pylon, you can attack with like 15.
Oh, my god. Husky, look at those lings.
There's so many. He looks like one of those bronze league scrubs.
But you know, who understands those bronze leaguers.
They only watch his streams because they want to see him get crushed, 'kay.
I mean, those lings, there are just too many.
I can't believe there's no ant-air, the lings are like, out there.
I mean-gross! They're so... Red!
I like zerglings and I cannot lie
You other races can't deny
With metabolic boost they are ready to lay waste
There's a ling rush in your base
You are done
Wanna pull up tough
Cause you know they don't need a buff
Whether you toss, or terran
You're mad and you can't stop swearin'
Oh, zerglings I wanna play with ya
And then transition
The gold league tried to warn me
But I want to see those "lings a swarmings"
Ooh then there's cracklin's
Get twenty percent more attacks in
They're zooming, zooming
And you workers they are consuming
I've seen them spawnin'
Looking like big prawns and
They're fast, cheap
Come in pairs and make dudes "gg"
I'm tired of message boards
Saying zerglings make them snore
Take the average player and ask him that
A six pool rush ain't wack
So bronze league (yeah), masters (yeah)
Are your zerglings kicking butt (hell yeah)
Then build em' (build em'!), build em' (build em'!)
Till Blizz nerf's them up
Zergling attack
(insect face with a canine booty)
I like em' quick, and small
Spawning 'till I got a ball
I just can't help myself
I build em' like an animal
Then rush like a vandal
I wanna get my main
And UGH double hatch UGH UGH
I ain't talkin' 'bout hydras
Those glass cannons are wearing bras
I want em' fast and deadly
So find that deadly double
Marauders in trouble
Beggin' not to pop like a bubble
So I'm looking at pro videos
Mass infestor be all they know
You can have them casters
I can build lings so much faster
A word to the real zerg players
I wanna play with ya
Won't grief or cry "imba"
But I gotta be straight when I say I wanna (chirp)
'Till the break of dawn
Zerglings got it going on
Alot of toss won't like this song
Cause them punks just mass colossus
But I'd rather rush their base
'Cuz lings spawn fast, not last
And I'm down to send them in a mass
So platinum (yeah), masters (yeah)
Do you wanna avoid disaster (yeah)
Then go inject
Queue it up
Even bronze league knows what's up
Zergling attack
(insect face with a canine booty)
Yeah baby
When it comes to my comp
Team Liquid got nothin' to do with my selection
Fifteen pool then fifteen hatchery
Only on lost temple
So your zerg friend's games are so fine
Playing replay vids by Day Nine
But Day Nine ain't got no zerglings up in his design
Cause my build order don't want none unless it's got lings son
You can do custom or campaign
But please don't lose those lings
Some masters want to play that hard role
And say lings can't get you past gold
So they build mutas, banelings
Sometimes they even spit out changelings
So your ranking stands pat
Well I ain't down with that
Cause you ling rush hard and your macro is kickin'
I ain't thinkin' 'bout stickin'
To the latest builds in the tourney scene
You ain't it H.D.
Give me a zergling I'm deserving
Big losses your incurring
Some wood leaguer tried to dis
Cause zerglings were on my list
He had game but he wouldn't make em'
Expansions, my lings will take em'
So fellas if you like lings now
And you wanna see a fast surround
Dial 1-900-BUGSWITHWINGS
And kill terran and toss
Zergling attack
(Don't cost much wealth, low health, but a fast attack)
I second getting a mechanical keyboard. Google them and learn the difference between switch types. The most common are Cherry MX Blue, MX Brown, and MX Black. The Das Keyboard is very popular and comes with Blues or Browns depending on which model you buy. A cheaper option is the Razer Blackwidow, but it only comes with Cherry MX Blue switches which some argue are not the best mechanical switch for gaming (but it's kind of down to personal preference).
Mechanical keyboards are much more expensive, but they're worth it not just due to the better feel, but because they are about 10x (no exaggeration) as durable. If you absolutely cannot afford a mechanical keyboard, get a Keytronic keyboard. They're the best rubber switch keyboards you're going to find in terms of feel and durability and you can get one for $20-40 instead of the $80-200 a mechanical board will cost you. Edit: Just to clarify, they're still rubber switch keyboards, and rubber switch keyboards are pretty much always inferior to mechanical ones.
Razer just released a silent blackwidow that uses cherry browns for $80.
Sweet, I did not know this. I will probably buy it, I've been looking for a good sub-$100 option with browns. Also the macro keys are nice.
Can you point it out on Amazon? This sounds right up my alley and I'm shredding with my Deathadder at the moment.

Has anyone tried this yet? Been thinking about a mechanical Keyboard but the noise is one of the big drawbacks for me.
I'm ordering that one so I'll let you know, but a feature of that Razer Blackwidow Stealth Edition is that it's a quiet mechanical keyboard. I'll let you know how true that is.
His body actually sloughs goombas naturally. He can produce up to 3 a day.
Regarding keyboards, I recently made a purchase of the Das Keyboard S Professional Silent which probably sounds most like the cherry G80 in that video. Noise when typing, but not overwhelming. You'll hear every click, but it's not a racket. The build is solid as a tank, the keys feel like you're pressing down a soft cloud of air instead of bread that's been on the counter for a week like with non-mechanical keyboards (which actually bother my fingers due to the high key resistance.) It's a bit pricey as keyboards go but I definitely feel it was worth it, considering how much typing/gaming I do. It's no bullshit, no frills, just a magnificent keyboard.

I have the regular Razer BlackWidow. Shit's pretty loud when you get to furiously typing/Starcrafting. It feels amazing to type on, so I think it's definitely worth it if you don't have to worry about bothering anyone. The quiet version might be even better in that regard.
Im just going to say this, the community for this game is a lot more fun than the game itself. If we actually focused our efforts to tic tac toe I'm pretty sure we would all be much happier.

watching day9 for the first time in a while. it is disgusting that he slurps a drink on screen. I know it's a pet peeve, doesn't bother most people that much I guess, but it takes so much for me to not just turn it off. skldjngl;sKDNG. so gross.
reminds of the mallrats commentary, they're all fucking eating sandwiches and just talking through it. good god.
but it's good stuff about priority so I need to focus.
So this weekend I was gonna play some, but I gotta go play some Fighting games.
I'm really fucking bad at Fighting games. Like so goddamn bad.
I also wanted to play in the TSL open thingy, but I gotta get some work done this weekend too and ugh. I just wanna craft stars.

the more i play Protoss and Terran the more I am convinced that controlling a Protoss army is both easier AND more difficult than controlling a Terran army.
On the one hand, the Terran army rewards very good micro, your army will perform so much better with good micro than with a-move, in most situations. The Protoss army does not, your performance is roughly equivalent whether you micro or not, outside of the set-up to the combat (forcefields, guardian shield, army position). This means that there is not a whole lot a Protoss can do during the battle to influence the outcome, which is depressing and difficult. The outcome of most pitched battles involving a Protoss army are pre-determined before they start.
On the other hand, the Terran army REQUIRES good micro to do well, the only time you can really a-move is if you're way ahead, which means that it requires a lot more actions to effectively do well with it, while the Protoss army leaves you a lot more breathing room during fights to go back and macro (since Protoss macro, for the most part, requires that you not be looking at your army).

That is a good difference I feel, so long as microing a Terran army isn't undeservedly/unproportionally rewarding

Estimates are that Heart of the Swarm will be early next year.
Legacy of the Void will be sometime after Duke Nukem Forever 2.

I'd pay mad bucks to be the second Goomba; I don't care how far it is to MLG I have to get to one next season
EDIT: Goombas all up ins

For reasons completely unrelated to this thread and Day9.
If I don't pick up the call right away it's because I'm filling the biggest glass of water.
Also you would be better at Starcrafts.
