it's interesting how i had such a violently revolted reaction to a man being forced to blow a criminal at gunpoint in this show, and if it had been a woman i don't know if it would have been the same

is this some sort of latent homophobia? or is it because i can identify more with how a man would feel if forced to give oral sex at gunpoint, if there is a real difference from how a woman would feel? i'm not sure.

You might just be more desensitized to the idea of a woman being forced into that position. It seems to be the story you hear more often.

it is really excellent, the violence is not actually very graphic or severe (lots of dead bodies at crime scenes, lots of rough interrogations and a few really brutal scenes but not that bad overall), and this is the first sexual violence that occurred on screen i think

although the main character has done physical harm to a number of sexual offenders in a decidedly non-sexual way

I actually have no problems with Invisible War. It's a decent game in many ways. Just doesn't hold up to Deus Ex, and does some terrible things to the story.

Also, did you mean the original Swedish one or the American remake?

I've seen the remake in theatres and I've seen parts of the original on TV. not sure I want to rewatch either.
