Computer restarting for no reason.
In the past month I've been having a problem where my computer would restart all of a sudden, and continue to restart. The restarting is guaranteed to happen no matter what program I used, game or browser, and if left alone without even logging in. If I decide to play a game, my computer freezes within 40 minutes, and 20 minutes if I have a browser and I-tunes open.
The restart isn't a blue screen, or an easy shut down, my cpu fan become 3x as loud and shuts down after 5 seconds. Usually when I go to bed, I have a window open which originally caused the problem (or so I thought). If I don't open the window, the computer usually never restarts if I leave it on sleep mode.
My computer is a gateway GT5628 (Core 2 quad q6600)
3 gb ddr2
Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS Overclocked.
500 GB sata II
