Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

Playing board games over the internet

My brothers and I like to play board games occasional, but when school starts for them it's difficult to do due to geography. I was wonder what the preferred method of playing on the interwebs is. I'd like to play Arkham Horror again before I forget all the rules.

The best method is to use Vassal, which is a program designed for the task. Cyberboard is another alternative but it's clunkier. Apparently FFG frowns on that sort of thing, so they don't allow their games to be converted to those formats. So you're mostly boned for Arkham Horror.

Be excellent to each other you stupid cunts.

There is a module for Arkham Horror at the Vassal site. Is it non-functional or something?

Can't answer that question, but we do have a board game thread that you can probably get answers and people to play with.

But you can always play or host a game here on the forums, too. Not the best way to play a board game, but certainly is a fun way. :)
