Brainiac's money (or at least some of it) is Sony's:

    215251.png

And it's coming out in 2 freaking months, May 16.

I love these HD remakes. I want to buy the Jak and Daxter remake as well as this one, even though I already own all of them on PS2.

You get a pretty message saying please insert disc 2, hit the button and it thinks you put in the next disc.

Oops, there's where I made the mistake. I thought the $6.99 prices on the PS1 games and the $20.99 price on IV PSP were the original prices. Thanks for clearing that up.

So much for getting IV PSP for $10. :P

Sounds good. Knowing Sony, I figured changing the disc would entail digging through some system menu or something.

This sale is a huge reminder that I need to finish FFVII. I feel like a bad person for not beating it yet.

Also, off topic, but @AaronKI I'm playing through Pyschonauts and I can finally say I understand your avatar. :D

Actually I had forgotten since the last multidisc game I played was winter 2010. It's almost that simple.

Basically when you get the pretty switch disc screen, hit the PS button and the second or third option down will be disc switch. It's not exactly complicated but it isn't exactly 100% fool proof either.

Not much to say. Rayman 3 HD is probably worth a look at least. The Saint's Row DLC is 'The Trouble With Clones' and is the final part of the season pass deal, as far as I know.
The Plus Bionic Commando deal looks good, or it would if I didn't already own BC:R1.

I'm thinking the same thing. I had the GBA FFT, and the PSP one. But I gave my PSP to my brother after I got my Vita. So for 6.99, I feel it is worth it. When does the sale end? Also, anything else worth picking up that I should look into?

Probably a dumb question but here goes...I recently switched from 360 to PS3 and getting used to the store and interface has been the only real challenge I've had. When I browse a game I see the little "cover art" and the description - but is there no place with screenshots of the actual games?

The Japanese and Hong Kong stores are loaded with screenshots.
The EU store occasionally has little preview buttons where you can see screenshots.
The NA store has jack shit and makes you google everything yourself.

This has to be my biggest pet peeve when looking at games, especially the Japanese PS1 games. Recently I've noticed that some games have a preview movie of the game. Reading what you said vagrant_winds that pisses me off that the other stores have screenshots and the US store decided to leave that feature out.

For some bizarre reason, it's not coming out in the U.S. until fall.

    Why?
"I know it's a little bit later than the spring European release, but it's because we have something very special planned for our North American fans to celebrate the 10th anniversary, and we'll share all the details very soon," Insomniac Games' CEO Ted Price wrote on the US PS Blog.

Er... okay? I'm a little confused that everyone else gets it early but possibly gets screwed out of the "very special" thing. Ah well.

Yeah, almost all PS1 classics on the PSN can be played on the PSP. There are only like 3-4 PS1 PSN games that can't be played on the PSP (like they use too many buttons for the PSP) and none of them are popular games (I don't even remember what they were).

The speculation on the big surprise thing for NA (or -a- surprise, at least) is that whatever it is has to do with pre-ordering the Collection. There were several really blatant "You should really pre-order!" replies placed down. Still, it is a bit confusing regardless.

Blah blah, piddly Drop this week.
    PlayStation Network

FIFA Soccer 12 – FIFA Soccer 12 brings to the pitch the game-changing new Player Impact Engine, a physics engine built to deliver real-world physicality in every interaction on the pitch. Experience the way real-world players challenge each other for the ball, win possession, and test each other physically. Enjoy an infinite variety of natural and believable outcomes in every collision. Players feel more resilient, push and pull during the fight for possession, and recover from light challenges more easily.

Supremacy MMA: Unstricted (PSN // GameCard) – Supremacy MMA: Unrestricted brings the brutality of unsanctioned and unlicensed MMA fighting to the bigtime, favoring fast-and-furious gameplay and underground aesthetics over official branding and television-style presentation. The game aims to raise the bar in the MMA space by bringing an unprecedented level of fast, fluid combat, intuitive controls and true-to-the-sport brutality.

This PlayStation Vita game takes the action of the original hit Supremacy MMA release to a new level with refined, amped up gameplay and controls, as well as new fighters and new locations, Supremacy MMA: Unrestricted on PS Vita delivers fast and furious arcade-style gameplay, providing a satisfying, on the fly experience quick enough to pick up and play, deep enough to sink in to.

Closure – A unique and stylistic puzzle platformer that takes the concept of light and shadow and twists it up into something never before seen.

    PS3 Demos

    Zack Zero
    Closure
    Blades of Time

    minis

    Idiot Squad

So, Closure seems to be the 'thing' this week. There's a video for it in the blog post, but I haven't given it a look yet. Kinda hope there's more than this, though.

Wow - those House Party games didn't stay 360-exclusive very long.

    I just got a new PS3!

What are the top three or four must haves that I should get off of PSN that are PS3 exclusive?

That's awesome - just before I sold my 360 I beat Shank - now I can play the sequel for free. I think my trial runs out soon though and I'll have to think about if it's worth keeping up - the free games seem to indicate it is. I've never played through Silent Hill either, I'll have to give that a shot.

Are there ever discounts on PSN+ like there are on Live Gold cards all the time?

Critter Crunch is a great puzzle game, but it's kinda old, so if multiplayer is a requirement for you, it may be hard to get an online game going.

Wipeout HD, if you like racers.

The PixelJunk games are good too... It seems like Monsters is the favorite of the bunch, but I don't like tower defense games so I thought it was just ok. My favorites are Shooter/Shooter 2.

Super Stardust HD and Dead Nation are both good twin stick shooters, on opposite ends of the genre.

EDIT: Apparently Journey is the bee's knees, but I haven't played it yet, so I don't have any comments on that one. Oh, if you're ok with artsy-fartsy, check out Flower.

Only discounts I have ever seen were the occasional Toys R Us sale on cards or the "warehouse" (Sam's Club/Costco) discount on gift cards. The practically daily deals on Live Gold is the one thing that makes me jealous of the Xbox 360 owners.

Others will hopefully correct me if I am wrong since I am tempted by PSN+.

Edit: I wanted to thank Diarmuid for posting the US list. Completely forgot today was Wednesday and missed reading the usual Tuesday/Wednesday update from Darth_Mogs which always helps me to decide if I want to log in and fumble my way through the new store to download.

Let me understand this right - if I have a PSN Plus account (remember, I'm new), those five games are free for me, as long as my subscription stays active?
