I dig the atmosphere around Halloween but every year I care less and less about making a costume or anything
Especially now when I have no friends to see or parties to go to
I am in the same unfortunate situation GG
But I love candy
And scary movies
And dressing up
But dressing up just to sit at home alone is sad to the point of creepy
I sort of stopped when I got to highschool, just felt too old to go around asking for candy.
it was sad because my group of friends were all the same age and we stopped at the same time, so the neighborhood was pretty dead.
it's not a big kid place anymore, it's just one of those old neighborhoods.

I did have one halloween where literally nothing was happening.
Boyfriend was working, no parties where happening, it was so wrong.
So I dressed up anyway and went to walk around downtown with my roommate and saw Zack and Miri Make a Porno
Tonight at work a bunch of the highschool kids were talking about halloween and if they were going to go trick or treating or throw a party and finally they asked me
"Mr.Virgo, are you going trick or treating?"
No. I'm an adult now. I don't need to dress up and beg for free candy. I can afford to buy my own bag of candy. Saves on calories that way.
It was the best, let me tell you. My parents made me share a good bit of it with my sisters, but it still lasted a good while.
Like, 10 minutes.
I think I managed to somehow convince my dad to buy me a chunk of milk chocolate. I think it was a pound, but it wasn't in a bar or anything, it was just a chunk...
I had to carve pieces off with a knife, but that did not stop me

One of these days I will make a costume for Halloween, but I dump so much money into stuff for Dragoncon, I'm too broke to make a new thing. We did this at D*Con this year:
I think it should be efficient enough at terrifying small children. Which is really the goal every year.

I don't understand why you couldn't just use whatever you use for dragoncon. the goal isn't always to scare people, just have a costume and go have fun.
