Without thinking too deeply, I can think of a few shallow and not so shallow ones.

Getting a good grade on a big test that you were sure you would do poorly on.

Talking. Specifically, the kind of late night talks with a close friend where you go on for hours about anything and everything. Even better if they're just aquaintances that you now know more about. A recent example would be my hotel roommates at an anime convention last month.

Since I collect toys af various varieties, I love it when I find one specific figure or wave of figures that everyone talks about finding but I've just been unlucky until now.
