I live for life. Seriously, just being able to do things is pretty awesome, from working to talking to you guys to reading books to playing games to eating a good breakfast. I love living.

Another thing I live for, is the day I become a dad and prove to myself that I won't be a horrible, repulsive man like my own biological father.

I think I live for being important to people worth being important to

be it because they are kind or smart or creative or something else, knowing that I matter to such people makes me really happy

it's probably not too healthy though because of the vicariousness of it :(

A moment I was living for that I got to experience recently was with my girlfriend's youngest brother. She has two younger siblings, two boys, and the eldest is your typical teenage guy. Bit of a dick, but he'll grow out of it yet he's always been the kind to ruffle the youngest brother's hair, take his food, etc. So anyway, a little while ago I was over at her house and me, her and the youngest brother were chatting and I forget how it came up in conversation but those two started talking about this

"I see him (me) as the older brother I never had."
"But you already have an older brother."
"Yeah, but I mean the nice and funny older brother I never had."

I had to excuse myself because if I spent another second in that room I would've started crying. It's probably from the fact that I've always wanted to be an older brother to someone, and that I've felt I missed out on my chance ever since I found out that my mum had an abortion once she got pregnant again after me, all because she couldn't bear to bring another child into the hateful marriage she had with my biological father.

I live for the hope that one day I will find someone I can snuggle up next to on a chilly morning like this one.

I really love falling leaves. And the smells of nature.

Making people who are important to me feel loved. If I can make them feel loved, and let them know how important they are to me, and let them feel that someone will always be there... then I feel like I have a reason, too.

Unfortunately this is very easily abused.

The avalanche has already started; it is too late for the pebbles to vote.

It probably terrible and something that makes me feel terrible but I understand this completely. A person who's always wanted kids probably shouldn't have to breathe a huge sigh of relief about a miscarriage because the fact is she's spent the last two weeks on the floor sobbing through yelling and verbal/emotional abuse over baby names.

If it makes you feel any better, Kochi, I think I had completely forgotten until I started doing saline rinses last spring. Chronic sinus infections had left me basically unable to smell for years.

I am starting to wonder if I have developed a chronic sinus problem

    Every single day

I wake up and blow my nose 400 times

This has been going on since like May

And I am sick and tired of it

The smell of the earth after a rain storm, or the sweet smell you get when you're walking around sometimes. Or even just the smell of the air on a warm day.

Pretty much if it doesn't smell like garbage or death, nature smells amazing. Sorry. :c

The downside to the problem fixing thing is just how fucking terrible I feel when people have problems I can't fix.

Like, complete self loathing and 'oh fuck I'm just never good enough' type feelings.

Not to horrify anyone with the suggestion, but seriously, saline rinses have chaaanged my life. You could give it a try and see if it helps you out at all.

Also yeah, Kochi, you're also missing out on some truly horrifying smells, you know? Like, this fancy small-shop-and-restaurant neighborhood I was at on Tuesday smelled mysteriously like someone had pooped all over it. And lots of times Seoul smells like spicy tangy rotten vegetables and fish.

It doesn't have to be a neti pot.

    But yeah.

    Exactly that.

My doctor finally suggested it to me, because continuing to go on and off antibiotics endlessly is, you know, bad for you. It basically just flushes out allergens., irritants and mucus.
