Heroes of Neverwinter - Y/N?

I tried some other Facebook game for five seconds and realised it wasn't actually a game, just a timed-release reward system.

This one any good? I keep hearing vague rumours of goodness, and I do love me some D&D.

Do you like D&D 4e?

Heroes of Neverwinter is like a really simplified version of D&D 4e, with basically less of everything (classes, races, powers, etc.)

But in essence it more or less plays like 4e. The combat is grid and turned based, moving your dudes around attacking enemies, moving through dungeon rooms, disarming traps, etc.

It's an actual game, not just another Farmville Skinner Box

Playing a civ 4 mod, Realism Invictus. An amazing effort, no feature bloat, good balance between units and buildings, better AI especially early game, a nice mechanic to limit unit spam / stacks of doom.

The world map that comes with it is insanely large and turns take forever to process though.

I don't know why I jumped the ship on the Civ games. Last one I've played was the original Civ 3(a loooong time ago). I've been getting my strategy fix almost exclusively from Paradox since then.
Every once in a while I'll hear about a Civ mode that looks awesome and I'm sure I'll have fun with it and then I forget and go back to cranking spreadsheets.

Civ 4 is a pretty good game on it's own. I mostly like the exploration factor, not knowing the world, the resources. The main problem with both paradox and civ games is that the more you play, the more you learn to game the engine/ai though. That's where mods come in for me, rebalances and new mechanics make it fresh.
