Thanks to the existance of promo versions, I have gotten the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus and God of War PSP collections for £15 less than I would have if I had bought them from the shop.

That's a total of £45 I've saved by hunting around for promo versions.

The Ico/SotC collection is currently the biggest argument for me buying a PS3.

Christ Ubuntu have got to streamline rolling out fixes for bugs.

Even when it says "fix released" - where precisely the fuck that fix is or how you get it is usually really god damn nebulous.

I think I just had the shortest lasting bout of fresher's flu ever.

Yesterday I woke up with sore throat feeling pretty bad.

Gradually got more feverish over the day and last night was really feverish but it broke some time in the night and now I wake up today and I've got barely a sore throat left and feeling completely fine.

I have actually not watched a lot of the Rugby World Cup because the website with the fixtures list on it posts the scores during the matches, so I keep inadvertently spoiling the results before the repeats are broadcast.

Rugby Union is a shameful pursuit of the Australian upper classes. One might ask "How do I know I shall be up against the wall when the revolution comes?"

    Rugby Union, you rah-rah scum.

Some Aussie rules was on the tele at a pub I went to last weekend.

    It looked insane, but brilliant.

Would really like to watch more.

We were watching that a moment ago (against France, right?) I think the English' only salvation might come from growing awesome sideburns.

Time to watch The Glassblower's Children
Based on the novel by Maria Gripe, this is the story of two children, Klas and Klara, growing up in the poor Swedish countryside of the mid-19th century. Their father Albert is a glass-blower, famous for his beautiful vases, but still unable to earn enough money for his wife Sofia and the children. At a spring fair a distinguished gentleman arrives and buys all of Albert's glassware. After this nothing will be the same again. Klas and Klara are kidnapped and taken to a strange castle...

This movie used to terrify me as a child, but it was really cool as well. It is very Swedish.

So, if I want to switch wireless carriers, and I order a new phone from one of them online, can I use my number on the old carrier until I receive my phone from the new one? How does that work?

It's such a bummer when a D&D thread moves in a completely uninteresting direction for me after I bother to write a post that gets ignored by everyone.

It makes me the online equivalent of a tree falling in a forest with no one around to observe it. My post never happened, unless someone finds my tree lying rotten in the forest with squirrels scurrying over it and mos all over my northern side.

I still have trouble accepting the fact that Union is an upper class sport in some countries. League has a little bit of a class aspect to it (traditional working class in Auckland), but not really.

I am trying to decide between a basic HTC Sensation, one of the upgraded Sensations (XE or XL), the SGII or the Nexus Prime. I would prefer the latter, if only I knew when it was coming. I am actually phoneless right now, so I cannot keep on putting this decision off

Well I lost my phone a month or two back, then got 250 or so pounds insurance. So buying a new phone isn't going to be a big cost (depending on model). I don't want to simply replace like for like though, as the Desire was starting to have trouble with memory

I suspect there's a non-zero chance maintaining their current schedule would draw accusations of being insensitive. I wouldn't understand such accusations, but I suspect that sentiment exists.
