Man, the more I read about business management, the more I'm amazed private enterprise ever gets anything done at all.

EDIT: I suppose notionally the same problems exist in all management, so I guess the real point is - how does the world actually continue to function?

Also, fuck iCal, fuck iCloud, and fuck MobileMe.

I am comforted by Richard Dawkins’ theory of memes. Those are mental units: thoughts, ideas, gestures, notions, songs, beliefs, rhymes, ideals, teachings, sayings, phrases, clichés that move from mind to mind as genes move from body to body. After a lifetime of writing, teaching, broadcasting and telling too many jokes, I will leave behind more memes than many. They will all also eventually die, but so it goes. - Roger Ebert, I Do Not Fear Death

Is that supposed to be the Enchantress from Thor?

“I’m the next president,” Greene said. “I’ll be 35 … just before November, so I was born to be president. I’m the man. I’m the man. I’m the man. Greene’s the man. I’m the man. I’m the greatest person ever. I was born to be president. I’m the man, I’m the greatest individual ever.”

Take some sausages, put them on a baking tray. Put some frozen chips around them. Put them in the oven for about 20 minutes. Add salt and vinegar and any sauce you like.

Sausage and chips. You can fry the sausages if you prefer.

so i introduced myself and basically mini-interviewed

he wrote my name down and said he'll 'look for my resume', but i still have to apply through the main site and all

    so i did that

Uh, not really. His books have often had horrible delays, and several just reused old artwork in lieu of drawing anything new. You can actually see the lines where he cut and pasted some heads on to other character's bodies in a couple.
