How would I clean these winter gloves?
Last year, I bought an excellent pair of gloves. They look like this, more or less:
Polyester shell, leather on the palm, and a polyester cloth lining on the inside.
The problem is that they're white (or used to be?) and after building forts in the woods and whatnot, they're now more of a gray color. It says I can't dry clean them, and to just wipe them with a damp cloth. I'm not sure that's going to do much of anything at this point, to be honest. Is there anything that I could try that might clean them better, while still keeping the amount of moisture really low, so it doesn't soak into the glove? Any certain type of soap/cleaning method? I'm sure other people own gloves like this, so I thought asking couldn't hurt.
I really love these gloves...they fit amazingly and are super warm, I'd just like them to look less grungy.

If damp cloth + mild/diluted soap is my only option here, I'll do that, but I was just hoping there might be something more effective.
