    Thanks all. I never realized prolific he was on here. And all your stories remind me of the shenanigans he had perpetrated in our youth.

    Like the time he had convinced a classmate that rubber was collected from the great rubber mines in South America, who then used that information in an essay. Or how much he hated WALL-E ("Robots can't love.")

    I had a lot of good times with him. And I'll miss him with all my heart. Underneath all his chitin and scales and beard, he was an amazing friend. That's all I can say.

    Although I never talked to him one-on-one outside of the forums, he always struck me as a really cool guy, both funny and not a jerk, which are, you know, enviable traits in these parts and anywhere. That's inadequate, I know, but anything I can say would be.

    I'm incredibly sorry to read this news, and all my best thoughts go to his friends and family.

    Add me to the list of people who hadn't really shared any words with him directly but who knows he left a distinct positive impression on the forums.

    He made this a better place to be, and I think that's a pretty damn great thing.
