the expendables was an 80's action movie

not an homage, but an honest to goodness 80's action movie

with that came all the plusses and minuses of that mode

    I, for one, loved it

    I will debate no more

The Expendables was not nearly homoerotic enough, either in text or in subtext, to be an 80s action movie. Seriously.

klash you have strange opinions that are both right and wrong at the same timw

Look, we all appreciate the finesse it takes to use the three shells. It's a tough system to get used to. It just doesn't match the grace of a knife-spiked-knuckles-awesome-thing.

    Let's look at the villains:
Wesley Snipes dressing as a poor man's Rodman vs. Brian Thompson wearing pantyhose as a "disguise"
Wesley Snipes doing karate with a smile vs. Brian Thompson stabbing the ever loving hell out of everything
Snipes leading rubber-tire wearing criminals vs. Thompson leading the revolution of a new world order because somehow murdering people at random is... somehow... doing... I don't know...

I'm not slamming Demo Man. It's a good movie. It just doesn't have the one-liner. It doesn't have the cure.

it was good! I'll add that to my rec list even though I'm pretty sure I am literally the last person in the world to have seen it

Oh! Oh! Can this be a 20 movie list? Because Clint Eastwood deserves his own 10. High Plains Drifter is definitely at the top of that list for me. If you like Westerns, like Eastwood, and like revenge, then it's the movie to watch.

We don't even care... whether we care or not...

I like it, I own the movie on bluray. But to me I just disliked the concept of limbo so much it really detracted from everything.

I liked the idea of Limbo a lot, it just didn't seem like Nolan put as much thought into the rules there as he did the rest of the film. Still, to me it's a minor complaint.

Now you have to watch the trilogy in order.

For a few dollars more is, I think, a better constructed movie. It is tighter and not as drawn out.

The good the bad and the ugly is a masterpiece, but it is painting in huge strokes and trying to evoke something much different than the second movie.

Donnie Darko's fun as long as you accept that it makes no sense as anything but a coming of age film. Still, some of the pseudo-sci-fi ideas were swank.

I saw Donnie Darko after everyone told me how deep and amazing it was

and it was alright. Not anything special but not offensively bad.

but everyone kept telling me I just didn't get it and here let's watch it again so I can explain it and aaaaaaaaagh fuck off

Y'all should watch The Great Happiness Space, it's about Japanese host clubs and it's nuts

Also S&MAN, it's a weird movie about "underground" horror that's kinda hard to describe beyond that. There's some gross parts but nothing too bad so watch it you scrubs
