Unless Miami gets rid of Bosh or something.

i dunno he's expressed mild interest http://espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/story/_/id/7752775/steve-nash-listen-miami-heat-free-agent
obviously that is a fairly tepid comment, but i would not be shocked if nash went to the heat. completely broken-hearted, but not surprised.
cue trading for kidd shortly thereafter
As for the mild Miami interest, Nash strikes me as a guy that won't burn a bridge before it's built even if that means creating a little bit of a media frenzy.

Earl Watson out indefinitely with torn meniscus, C.J. Miles out a week with calf strain, Paul Millsap still has flu, and we just signed Blake Ahearn for 10 days off the D-League (to start Wednesday, not tonight).
On the other hand? Duncan, Parker, and Ginobli all stayed home because Popovich wanted them to rest. They didn't even fly up to sit on the bench and watch. I think the last time he made a rest move like this, the Blazers blew out the Spurs by 40. Apparently he's perfectly fine with ending the win streak tonight, but considering what's going on with the Jazz, whether that actually happens is still doubtful.
That pleases me. Give the Big 3 their rest.
I clicked on this thread expecting some highly insightful basketball analysis and this is what I get?
obviously winning has helped, but stiemsma, bradley and even pavlovic have been awesome to watch the last couple of weeks, garnett is having his best year since they won the title, rondo has been playing out of his mind, and they're doing it all despite a ridiculous number of freak injuries to their bench
and provided pietrus can come back from the concussion without any ill effects, giving them a pretty good 8-9 man rotation, i am actually talking myself into their chances in the playoffs
there was a thing on espn.com the other day about how the celtics defense since the all-star break is basically unmatched in recent nba history, based on league average points per possession v their points allowed per possession (i believe)
i'm starting to feel something approaching cautious hope.
smacking down the Heat in Miami might have something to do with that...

certainly the way the Pacers played against them didn't hurt that theory. Jesus H Christ.

dirk started this season in bad shape, but he's been much better as it's gone on
i just went back to his draft to look at his peers to get a sense of where they're at, but i got distracted by the fact that good god the 98 draft was terrible: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998_NBA_Draft
but but but Bryce Drew!
J/K, I'm up 8-1. Peace bitches.
A route to the playoffs is still technically alive, but almost no room for error now and they need to win games they're supposed to lose.
Incredible.
