Big O and Chapter 3 of the Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness have lead me to believe that people wearing masks like those will meet untimely (and painful) ends.
In limited fashion. They basically removed all time limits from the trial account mode, so you can freeplay up to level 20, but the usual trial restrictions apply. No auction house, no trading, no mail, no public chat channels, can't send PMs to people unless they contact you first, maximum of 10 gold, etc.
'Cause I'm pretty sure the latter is an alcoholic.
