Did I also mention I was always way more of a Flint fan than a Duke guy anyway

    you and me GG

    you and me

I was a Duke fan when I was a kid... because he's the leader!

And because I had no idea how useless he really was in the old cartoon.

Rewatching the old toon, Flint is now my man, though Duke is okay in other incarnations.

    Your favorite Joe is Snake-Eyes.

Little law Reagan passed back in '85. Don't ask me, but that's the way it goes.

Favorite ninja is Snake-Eyes, favorite military type is Flint... closely followed by General Hawk from S2 and Sgt. Slaughter.

...and Roadblock. Classic one, that is. Renegades version is okay, I guess, and I have to see more of The Rock before I pass judgment, but if he doesn't have his old background and is in to cooking-- and no, I don't mean that as a reference-- that deducts some serious points in my eyes.

Oh well if it's in 3d that must mean they believe in it!
3.75 inch figures or 12 inch?
3.75. He was brown and had a big backpack. I thought it was Duke, but a cursory search leads me to believe otherwise.
The brown one with the gold backpack was Hawk. I still have that one and Overkill in my garage or den. I could have moved it anywhere as of late. '91 or '92 was the last year I bought GI Joe toys.

Because ninjas were the shit when they finally appeared in the eighties.

Ha! I remember when Snake Eyes v3 came out, and it was so hard to find (I didn't get it the first time I saw it, of course), and it was so awesome. Then v4 came out the next year, and it was such a let down ("Why are his swords bright red!?!")

I saw theses movies the day they came out in theaters. It was so fucking weird to hear Don Johnson's voice in the GI Joe movie after watching Miami Vice religiously. I still wish I could remember what I thought about Optimus Prime dying. All I remember of the experience was that the theater was like a third or half full of teenagers, and then my grandmother, brother, and me. That seemed weird (I say, still discussing them at 32).

Tatum is still first billed on IMDB and he has a whole poster to himself, so maybe not?
But he's in literally none of the footage shown outside of the attack that kills most of the Joes

Also it's not listed on IMDB but Wikipedia is saying Cobra Commander is going to be voiced by Charlie Adler, but I feel like that's just wishful thinking

As far as I know, Tatum is in the movie just long enough to get killed off.

When I was a kid I had the way I looked at comic books changed by the "silent" issue of G.I. Joe.

I doubt that any movie could ever change the way I watch movies but if one could I'd want it to be a G.I. Joe movie. Certainly it won't be this G.I. Joe movie but I'll still see it and prolly like it too.

Yeah, this one is titled "#3" so I was pretty sure it wasn't posted yet.

It is AWESOME. I'm betting that 90% of Channing Tatum's dialogue is in this new trailer. Lots of cool stuff. Fuck Avengers and TDKR. I want to see this.

It is a sequel that kills 90% of the first film's cast in the first 10 minutes according to interviews

so not much of one at all
