end game content is significantly less polished than wow. Which is to be expected but I can certainly see waiting until a few patches have smoothed out the edges before giving it a chance

Sad thing is it was a step backwards from the genius that was DAOC PvP. They were trying too hard to emulate wow and made it too gear and instance dependent, while removing the more interesting complexities such as style chains, reactionaries, and positional attacks.

Of course I didn't stick with it very long so I have no idea how it turned out in the end game, but the fact that it almost immediately felt like a step backwards made me sad.

That's probably why Republic players always get fucking giddy whenever they manage to kill an imperial player.

I was in Tattooine levelling my Sentinel yesterday and people would throw a fucking ticker tape parade in general whenever they killed a sith or something. Sith could have been caught off guard at 10 percent health fighting mobs but man, were they forever pleased with themselves.

Many thanks to rhylith, misix, and luvthemonkey for the great run through Colicoid games last night. I did manage to die in the fires of the last Boss, so that kinda made me feel connected to the Shamblers of old. This flashpoint was a perfect example of where using Vent would have made things so much easier instead of having rhylith type out the basics of all the different phases. Plus, it would help me immensely since I'm still learning better strategy while in a group dynamic.

Fun Fact: If you have really high Scavenging and Slicing, you can earn a robot buddy and a puppy to help you.

Had a Trooper on Voss attack me while I was killing something and managed to kill me. He came back and barely managed to kill me a second time. I was running around and found him at half health just as he decided to be the big man on campus and attack a sith inquisitor at full health who had ignored him and was doing a quest thing.

We stomped him. He didn't show up after that. I was amused.
