My DnD characters always end up super underwhelming in practice but a good idea.

Like how my halfing cad I made for a pathfinder game couldn't hit the broadside of a barn and was without a weapon for a fight because there were no chairs around.

Well I take that back, I did have one fun evil guy in a game run by a friend. Not really a villain, though. Just a crazy fighter. A goblin barbarian that wanted to prove his strength to anyone and anything. So, we stroll into this big town having a festival and the characters start to mingle. Mine goes to the town jail and turns himself in on claims of being a murderer, the puzzled guards say they'll hold me for the night and take my weapons. A night is all I needed. They lock me in a cell with 9 drunk humans, a few of them passed out. I grab a flask from a passed out guy, take the cap off, and with a strength check jam it in the lock to the cell.

Then I proceed to punch out every guy in there, and take their wedding rings to make some half-ass brass knuckles. I chill in there drinking and posing the bodies till the next day where the guards flip out, and I laugh while they try their best to open the door. Now, any party would leave a guy like me, sure. That's why I took the map we needed before getting locked up. They show up just as the door is opened, and in the talk I sprint out of there, grab my weapons and we're free.

Fun as hell.
