Hmm.
I think you're confusing tilts with smashes. Smash attacks are literally jam the stick in a direction and hold. If that show dash works in KI it sounds superior to a double tap.

I dunno how much of this is spoiler, it's not like this is Mass Effect 3 or anything but,
Also,
Any body have an idea why those powers and weapon are banned? I haven't gotten them yet, but was more curious than anything.
and why havent my KI Club Nintendo cards gotten here yet? damn this shipping is slow

Haha oh God no kidding. It's so good this game doesn't have fall deaths like the original Kid Icarus
I don't mean to be snippy (and I've had problems with that very same sequence) but please, tell us MORE about how you hate the controls!
I think the problem here isn't necessarily KI:U, but the 3DS as a handheld. I feel with 1 or 2 more buttons, you could feasibly flesh the controls out better. Case in point, having the Dash on a L or R trigger would probably help (Direction+L=manual dashing). Also, I don't mind the Slide Pad in other games, but something about it here really exacerbates the problem, unlike a clicky analog stick would.
If the touchscreen were more finger or thumb friendly, I'd probably go with my hand as the primary input. The trackball/globe camera still works well in my opinion. I would not want the gameplay to be compromised just to outfit your typical 3rd-person shooter controls. In the Flying battles it flatout wouldn't work, but the same can be said for the Ground combat.

"Did ya hear the one about the mussel that wanted to purchase Valve? Seems like the bivalve had a juicy offer on the table but the company flat-out refused and decided to immediately clam up!"
I'm sad nobody responded to my spoilers about the characters
Should be winners. Winning is the point. I've lost matches before where I was around 1.5k because pit got knocked into a hole or something, that's just how it is.
I do wonder why those powers and that weapon are banned.
I fucking love it. So many layers, nice balance of controlled chaos and random happenstance.
I refuse to scan in any cards off the Internet. I'm gonna go purely hardcore and just scan Idol Cards I obtain/purchase.

Usually, the only difference between subscriber copies and newsstand copies are the covers (usually less text to show off the art, or different art altogether, and the little blank spot for the mailing address). I can't recall if these cards are subscriber only. Normally, special subscriber issues with bonuses come sealed in plastic to protect whatever bonus stuff comes with it. For example, I remember receiving an issue that had a promo DVD with the first episode of the Pokémon Black & White anime.
But yeah, the card packet was glued to a two-page ad, which leads me to suspect that it may not be a subscriber exclusive, just exclusive to the magazine itself.

From what I understand the Magnus club is the most powerful melee weapon and also no slouch at range - its power attack recharges very quickly.
And it's turned out that melee is where it's at online, it's the OP combat of choice. People decide on powers based on mobility to close the gap with enemies and on freezing and slowing abilities to hold them in place while you whale on them.

Brawl:
Looks like the arrow pattern on the gloves is gone, and he gained a triangle belt buckle and the red gem on his shoulder. Otherwise, pretty damn similar designs.

And the jewel on his shoulder is there too. It's what holds the top of his tunic.
And if you look at the official box art...
...he still has the hand guard. Perhaps it's only when he holds that specific bow? Notice he only has the haloes around his forearms when he's holding that bow, and the haloes go around the light arrow when he's drawing it. Perhaps it's not rendered in Uprising because of all the different weapons. Or maybe it's a specific bow in Uprising, perhaps the most powerful one.
Here's a better pic of Pit in Brawl (from the Smash Bros. Dojo site).
In any case, the models appear identical to me.

Actually, I think he's wearing a black unitard underneath his tunic. Notice it covers his chest area as well.

This is the kind of music that people would not believe is from Kid Icarus Uprising, a Nintendo handheld game:
EDIT: There's basically no point in trying to isolate one piece of music that people should listen to, as a particularly great example. There isn't one bland track in the whole game.

I actually don't think it is. These are the practice room themes. But I remember the Japanese site called it the practice room music...
Oh, it's the wifi waiting room music.

i fused this 206 value club but it kinda sucks.

Just equip the highest-value ones that suit your playstyle. My strongest and highest-value weapon is a Hewdraw Club with 6 stars in Melee and 4.5 stars in Ranged, but I don't use it much because I don't really like clubs. It's the only way I was able to beat anything at intensity 9 so far, though.
In multiplayer, you're penalized for using high-value weapons so there's a tradeoff.

Also I have a few 300+ weapons that I wouldn't use because the base weapon is so bad. 315 paw pads for example. Hate paw pads.
Base weapon is the most important thing, then attributes, then stars, then rank.

That and a freeze effect seem to be the way to go for multiplayer weapons. I've yet to run into either effect on a weapon.
