Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

Also what on earth is Cucumber Quest? I'm intrigued.
EDIT: This isn't at all what I pictured from the name.
Why are these stories never about the cool secondary characters? It should just be Cucumber's sister, her sneaky dad and a couplea rocket launchers. Lets wrap this thing up in one chapter!
So, hey, thank you for your time thread.
Short description: Cucumber Quest is wonderful. (Ignore E_S and his less than wonderful dumb opinion.)
Also yeah I've tried telling people about it before and they assume the title is innuendo. The title is not innuendo, for anyone who is hesitant about checking it out. It's one of the more innocent and cute comics on the internets, in fact.
@Kochi: I'm not going to gush over QC (or try to recommend it to anyone), though I'm ashamed to admit I still read it just out of habit more than anything...I started reading it back when there was like, 3 webcomics on the internet and I took what I could get. I'd almost certainly stop reading it if it ever went to a less reliable schedule, though.
Almond is in it just as much as Cucumber. And suggesting that it should just be an action packed plotless heap of crap that's over in 20 pages is a pretty asinine idea. It's a webcomic! The story is already written at a pretty good pace and the art is just so adorable. If it were in tangible form you'd be able to read the whole series so far within 15 minutes.
EDIT: In other news, it would be nice to take a hot shower once in a while. My landlord seems to think that one water heater in a house of 6 tenants (2 full apartments) is enough. I used to think it was just because the people downstairs all showered in the morning, but even if I wait until 1pm there is no hot water. SO MUCH RAGE
http://judecca.co.uk/ though it's a bit nsfw, the art is fucking beautiful.
He makes branding guides... or rather... uses the advertising agency's branding guide book, changes some things around, calls it his own, then breaks all the guides when he's designing.
Also, he is clueless when making things for the post. It's fine if you don't know postal guidelines, but if you don't know ask! Non standard postal pieces have a surcharge of 11 cents. When you're sending out 125,000, those 11 cents add up.
Why is he my boss?
We had a hotshot agency give us artwork for a mailing and left no room on the mailing side for the indicia. I had to end up redesigning the back half of the card to make it work.
we'll see how this goes, though it has to be better than the last one I took here with that nutty teacher who "fixed" drawings herself, came back and complained about what she "fixed"

Redesigned her outfits for ingame as well as a the props and the other costumes in those screenshots. I got paid to paint Katy Perry so that was awesome.

I could see the dehydration thing being the case sometimes, too...I'm horrible at keeping hydrated for some reason...I think I'd just rather eat?
That's awesome, that sounds like it was totally up your alley! *vidyagame high five*
